If you're ever in St. Charles, I highly recommend St. Charles Veterinary Clinic. I took Luna in for an annual check-up this morning, and as we walked in, she had a seizure. They didn't miss a beat, took care of her, and saved her life. I’ll be forever grateful; I can’t imagine life without my best friend. Thank you to the entire staff.

Every single person I encountered with was very genuine, caring, and beyond kind! My pup recently got sick and I brought her here late one evening and they treated her right away. I followed up with her regular vet and due to my pups older age and her conditions it was best to put her down. I chose EVS in St. Charles over my pups regular vet to go through with the process because I knew they were the right people to handle such a sensitive procedure. It’s been a couple weeks now and I know I made the right decision after how amazing they treated us during the hardest day of my life. They comforted my pup and gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye. We even had the option to get an ink print of my pups nose and paws and a clay paw print as well. It’s extra charge but the items are priceless and I am so beyond happy with how they turned out. The whole staff deserves recognition for their wonderful care but I would like to personally thank Jennifer Tanner and Kristel Yocom for everything that they did for my fur baby ❤️

We were visiting St Charles from Dallas and our Labrador retriever got an ear infection (overnight / after hours, of course).

We called and Kim was super accommodating about getting us in for his care. Upon arrival, Dr. Greenwood was GREAT and helped take care of our poor sweet Cosmo right away. I cannot thank them enough!

Very helpful vet and I’m very glad I went to this vet over any other vet because of how helpful they were and the prices are very much in good price range. Was very descriptive when describing what was wrong/what could be wrong and all the X-rays. Very communicative as they let me know what was going on and what I should be concerned about. Gave me a paper to take home that gave me instructions on how to further go about my cats situation which she also told me as I was there. They handled my cat very well and were very sweet and informative. I wish I had gotten there names so I can add it to this review but thank you so much for all the help!

Dr Marsia and her team are the best! I am always impressed with her and her team every time we go for a visit. Dr takes the time to explain and educate me on any issues that have come up with my dog. She has always been very attentive and caring towards our dog! Front desk is amazing too! Thank you

I do not like to leave negative reviews, but I’ve been here 3 times with one of my cats and never had a good experience. Unfortunately it’s the closest emergency vet to where I live so I’ve tried coming here multiple times.
My cat gets very anxious and can be aggressive at the vet, and the first doctor I saw here was very condescending about it. I brought my cat in a few years ago because she seemed like she was choking - 2 different staff members rudely corrected me letting me know that she wasn’t technically choking if she could still breathe, but she was hacking/coughing/gagging/struggling to breathe. After acting like my cat was a huge inconvenience, they examined her and started to send us home. As we were checking out at the front desk, my cat was still struggling to breathe/coughing and I insisted they take her back and sedate her and examine her again. They did so and eventually pulled a piece of crab grass several inches long out of the back of her throat. The doctor begrudgingly admitted “you know your cat very well.” The second time I brought the same cat they thought nothing was wrong and sent us home - the next morning she was still coughing so I took her to another local animal hospital where they discovered an infection in her lungs and treated her with antibiotics and anti-nausea medication - so I paid for 2 emergency appointments in 24 hours because the first visit (this clinic) didn’t find the problem. Most recently, I called this animal hospital on Saturday around 6pm for my cat - there was no wait. 20 minutes later we arrived at the animal hospital and were rudely told it would be a 2-3 hour wait at least because their doctor was just getting in and had to do rounds first. We left and a different animal hospital got us in and out in under and hour (she had grass in her throat again) and was extremely kind and patient. I understand that dealing with stressed out pet parents must be challenging, but it really seems like there needs to be a shift in the workplace culture here. Almost every staff member I’ve interacted with over several visits has been impatient, condescending, and overall just doesn’t even seem to care. I have 2 cats, a dog, and 8 chickens so I’ve been to a lot of different vets offices in the area and the staff at this place has the worst attitude by far. I really hope that the management can do something to improve the environment here because it would be great to feel comfortable taking my pets here. For now we’ll be going elsewhere.

This was my first time, but I'm so glad this place exists! Poochie had an eye injury and couldn't wait until my vet was available. I hope never to need to go again, but if I do, I am SO GLAD they are there.

We had a traumatic experience finding a dead cat that had been attacked by someone's dog, and called all over the place late at night trying to find someone who could help us. After no luck with public services, we finally found Emergency Veterinary Services.

They were incredibly kind, compassionate, and handled finding the owners and taking care of the situation. Extremely grateful for them, and we'll keep them in mind when our own cats have late night emergencies.
