Came in yesterday for a second opinion for our BMD. She was sent home from the urgent care for further observation and well she still seemed to be in pain. The clinic got her in right away and upon reviewing the work up from the urgent care the Doctor noticed some narrowing in her spine. Not what we were expecting but grateful to have a better idea of what was happening. Pain management, rest (and weight management they were nice about it, but we knew she was overweight) to help her recover. Nice catch!

I personally do not recommend this vet. My dog came here for an anal glad expression, something that he gets done routinely with no issues, and he came back with a popped eye vessel. I am not sure if they choked him with the slip lead but thats what it seemed like to me. On another occasion I mistakenly decided to go back because my regular vet was booked out too far and my dogs needed to be seen. The vet that helped us was of no help and seemed annoyed at my sisters dog. I understand that it’s difficult to work on aggressive dogs but the vet at Nipomo dog and cat hospital never made us feel like my sisters dog was an annoyance and I don’t make people feel like that either(I work in the pet industry)

We have taken our pets to Evergreen Animal Clinic for years, seeing several different vets, and have always been happy with our pets care. The staff is friendly and helpful, the vets caring and professional. When we’ve had to make the heart wrenching decision to put a pet to sleep, we’ve been helped with compassion and genuine care. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

Previous experience:
Our appointment was going well up until an employee made a passive aggressive comment about my dogs odor and how he could use a bath.
I don't like how the assistant made me feel as if I'm not a good mother because my dog was due for a bath. I guess we'll see how today's appointment goes. 5/20/24.
Not looking forward to being judged.
