The cost at this place is exorbitant to say the least. We took my daughter there today, and we were paying cash. All we were needing done was a ring cut off her finger that we couldn’t get off.

A normal “visit” is $250. For my teenage daughter that included checking height, weight, and the doctor walking in to see the ring on her finger.

We were then charged an additional $125 for the doctor to take less than a minute to cut the ring off. We were told there could be extra charges if there was an x-ray, shots, etc. none of which were needed. We were not told of the additional cost until we were leaving.

$375 for less than 5 minutes.

We have many options in Abilene for walk-in clinics. Avoid this one.

Love this place and the staff! Dr. Hamlett really took time to check my daughter and being told I'm treating you like I'd treat my own kid really makes you feel better.
But all the staff are wonderful here

There staff was very nice and efficient and professional, with what they needed to do. Took a little while wait, but they had a serious situation in the back with another patient. Fire dept rescue showed up and rushed to the patient needing their help. So other than that, which is understandable. There service was excellent. I will go back to them if I shall need to again in the future.

The facility was extremely warm and welcoming. The staff are wonderful and very attentive and kind. The wait was not long at all, I felt like I was listened to and heard, all my questions and concerns were answered clearly from the nurses and the physician. I had a great experience and I wish I knew about this place sooner. I’ll definitely be coming back for my minor emergency needs.

This review has been a long time coming.
This will be an account from yesterday and also my interaction with the same doctor, Duncan, almost 2 years ago.
12/5 I walked with severe pain and wanted to get some imaging done. My experience 2 years ago made me hesitate but because my husband received EXCELLENT care just six months earlier (from another doctor) when he received a CT scan and confirmed appendicitis I wanted to give them another try and knew they had imaging capabilities.

Dr. Duncan walked in with the EXACT attitude I experienced before. He asked me what did I think what was wrong with me. And I said obviously I don't know that's why I'm here. And felt we needed to get some imaging done to rule out anything serious. He begins walking out the door STILL talking to me as if he has better things to do. He also tells me they don't have imaging so he has to outsource a ultrasound. He never examines me or even gets within a foot of me. After a few minutes I call the nurse back in and tell her I have zero faith in his care and I will be leaving. I also explain my previous experience with him.
Two years ago, I had increasing pain in my lower abdomen, which became worse by the hour. I had recently seen my gynecologist in Ft. Worth for fibroid cysts and was in between visits with her. When I reached out to her office and explained the pain I was feeling, her nurse suggested I get to an urgent care or er if it got worse due to a possible rupture of an ovarian cyst.
I was met with the same exact question by Dr. Duncan, after explaining my pain to him. "Well what do you think is wrong with you?" I informed him what my doctor's nurse said, and his response & I quote,"What? So you want drugs"
I said NO! I want an ultrasound done so we can see what is happening. I don't want any pain meds until I'm clear on what is going on. He looked at my husband and said,
" Well, that's going to be really expensive."
My husband about lost it.
Not only did Dr. Duncan make me, feel like I was someone looking to score pain meds he medically gaslit me and explained to me that if I was actually experiencing a ruptured cysts I would be curled up in a ball screaming.
I received confirmation from MY doctor the next day that IT WAS a ruptured cyst on my ovary.
I really wanted to give Dr. Duncan the benefit of the doubt during my 1st visit. My 2nd visit only confirmed what I believed.
He is curt, dismissive, and has the worst attitude I have ever experienced from a doctor. If we ever need to return, we will be calling ahead and checking which doctor is on call
I will say the staff from the front desk and nurses are incredibly compassionate and professional.

After twisting my ankle & starting ti fall off a curve, and then trying to stop the fall with my other foot causing another twist, I landed very hard onto the concrete. Since I didn’t have a head injury and only soreness and extreme pain in my foot and ankle, I decided urgent care would be sufficient. After spending 3 hrs at the Urgent Care I chose to try first, ( 2 of those hours were literally spent in the X-ray room in a chair), I then find out that the Radiology tech Was not familiar with the new technology. I literally had to press the power button and the Wi-Fi button on the board that she was trying to connect to the portable machine because she couldn’t get the actual large machine to turn on. The tech got very frustrated and just rolled me back into the room. My sons had to go out and get The nurse to let her know the NP needed to come back in. The NP then suggests they should just do a CAT scan, but I would have to be transferred To the ER side, and there were six patients ahead of me before the doctor could get to me to even give me Ibuprofen and decide on a CAT scan could be ordered (not to mention redoing all the same admission documents). The Nurse stayed in The room after the NP left and said she was extremely concerned with the major changes to my injuries since my arrival, she discreetly Here told me to try Express Er. By the time I pulled in their Circle Drive, There were two individuals and a wheelchair to assist me out of my vehicle. The two of them immediately took me back, based on my pain level and the injuries that were significantly noticeable. I was met with the doctor in the x-ray room, where she assessed me and immediately ordered x-rays of my feet and ankles. Once they completed that, the doctor came in to get the story of how it happened and asked to look at other areas of my body that were obviously in pain from the fall. Based on those bruises, she made the conscious decision to administer several more x-rays and images. The entire staff in the back, did everything possible to keep me comfortable while the test were performed. By this point it had been 20 minutes in their facility, but because I sat in a chair for three hours without elevation Some of the x-rays could not be definitively assessed. The doctor came in and had already looked up who my orthopedic doctor was and my primary doctor. Within the hour, they had eased my pain, Ruled Out any Invasive care, And Treated/clean all my wounds. The doctor was very attentive to all my questions regarding what I needed to do in the interim of the weekend before my appointment the following Monday. The staff immediately gave me a phone number to call for any questions and concerns, that Would immediately ring at the nursing/doctor station. The Doctor even felt like she needed To make contact and to talk to my husband who could not get there, and The doctor took the time to explain to my teenage boys, signs and symptoms to look for in case I needed to return. They fitted me with a boot, respected my decision to not accept strong pain medication And offered alternative medications That would better coincide with my daily medications. I have never been treated as kind, human, and not made less than by any other doctor or any other staff. They were beyond the best I had ever experienced. For my teenage boys to even comment on how impressed they were that they did all the things they accomplished, and had me back in my car heading home within an hour and a half. I highly recommend them to anyone, even if you think you only need minor urgent care. I’m thankful I ended up there, and the doctor was able to catch something that I never would have thought of. Top-notch!! Professional!!
& Most importantly, They Care & want to help!! Everyone there seem to truly want to be there! It wasn’t just a job to them….. Again, this was my experience and my Observation!!
10 out of 10!!
