I brought my dog to visit this facility as she was experiencing difficulty walking in her hind legs… I was upset and crying as I didn’t know what was going … from the front entrance desk to the exam room to the exit desk all staffers were extremely nice and friendly… the doctor assured me my dog would be okay…. For now no surgery… sent home with meds… so far my Charlie is resting well! A great big Thank You to everyone who assisted from beginning to end!!!

carelessness KILLED my dog. do NOT go here. she had an ear infection for a long time, they kept giving drops but they never worked, she kept itching. when administered a medication for ear infection, her EARDRUM was PUNCTURED, causing MENINGITIS, swelling in the brain that could not be cured and we had to put her down. she was only 9 years old. we are devastated.

Dr. Burke, Dr. Roby and the staff here have always been compassionate, kind, and helpful with our two cats. Recently, they both helped as we had a major emergency, and were key in making sure our boys were healthy again. I cannot speak highly enough about this clinic. And I want to thank them for everything.

We just came for our dog’s first visit and are very impressed. Staff are kind and professional, and the facilities are very spacious and clean. Dr. Burke answered all our questions (we had many) very thoroughly and patiently and he took the extra step to make sure we and our dog were taken care of.

You can tell this animal hospital truly cares for the pets that come here. We’re very excited to keep coming to this facility.

I will always be grateful for the excellent care that my sweet Luna received at Fanwood Animal Hospital throughout her life. As she bounced from one medical anomaly to another, Dr. Frantz took the time to thoroughly investigate and determine the best course of action. I never felt pressured to pursue unnecessary, expensive treatments for her, but was always confident in Dr. Frantz’s recommendations. The compassion my daughter and I received when we had to let her go made an extremely difficult time much more bearable. You can trust that your pet will be in the very best hands at Fanwood Animal Hospital, I cannot recommend them more highly.

I brought my dog here in October of 2021 when he was in clear respiratory distress. I asked multiple times if he was able to breathe properly. The vet assured me he was fine, took X-rays, and told me he was not in heart failure. He prescribed cough medicine to be picked up later. No oxygen, no Lasix, and no emergency intervention were given.

Before I could even leave to get the medication (within a half hour of leaving Fanwood Animal Hospital), my dog’s condition continued to worsen. I rushed him to the emergency hospital, where the team immediately diagnosed severe acute heart failure. Despite their efforts, he went into cardiac arrest and died within 20 minutes. The ER doctors were shocked that he had not been stabilized with oxygen or medication before being sent home.

My original one-star review from 3.5 years ago is no longer visible, so I am reposting. This was a devastating and preventable loss. I strongly urge anyone who wants an accurate diagnosis and appropriate care for their pet to seek treatment elsewhere.
