I recently took my dog Pickles to this wonderful animal hospital for his neutering. We’ve had terrible experiences with other animal hospitals so I was overly stressed out about trying somewhere new. My dog has high anxiety, so it’s a struggle regardless to go to the vet. This overall was a great experience, the lady’s at the front desk were so sweet & understanding, so was the doctor & the nurses. I plan on only using this animal hospital in the future. Highly recommend!!!

Never experienced any bad visits so far. Everyone in this office from front staff, technicians to doctors are so kind. Teagan the tech was very thorough with everything from start to finish. And the very first tech I had for my dog’s first visit stopped by to say hello and remembered Boba and helped to get his blood drawn. The doctor/techs was very patient with my dog throughout the visit while giving shots and drawing blood for bloodwork. They answered all my questions from the front staff to the back staff. The place is always very clean and I never wait long to be seen. Highly recommend for all pets to come here!!

Dr. Vida Gaizutis is an extremely good vet and I am very pleased with her in many aspects from her compassion and outright skills , knowledge and kindness . She is friendly and explains things throughly and welcomes questions. It’s evident she loves what she does.

Unfortunately, on my last visit I received another vet I did not even know. She walked in the room very unprofessional by not even introducing herself being this is my first time I have let her care for my dog. This was my fault because I usually request Dr. Vida Gaizutis but I just assumed she would be my caregiver as usual. This visit was the utmost uncomfortable experience . This vet was ever so short, I asked questions and I was cut off, received many “I don’t know” or “it’s hard to say” answers. She seemed to be in a rush and didn’t want to be there. The technician couldn’t even get the needle in my dog’s leg after FOUR tries then just bandaged it and went to the other leg leaving my dog with multiple puncture wounds that were still dripping blood as I left the establishment that I cleaned when I went home to avoid infection. At this point I never received an I’m sorry just bandaged it and continued ever so rough. I wanted to grab my dog and leave, it was that bad. I stayed and received a diagnosis that I am unsure of. The whole experience was heart wrenching to watch. They were the most unfriendly people I ever had interactions with at this establishment and I feel terrible I put my dog through that. I couldn’t wait to get my dog out. The only friendly people were the front desk at which I thank you for your kindness and friendly demeanor. After close to $400 later, I need to reevaluate. Just be cautious I hate to see another pet go through this . If you visit, only accept Dr. Vida Gaizutis and as far as the technician, I hope she gets the training necessary to effectively fulfill her position adequately.

Do not come here, if I could leave 0 stars I would. This vet is a complete rip-off, quotes one price then tells you a price that is double at check out. They are completely disorganized.

We were supposed to get a 1 mg shot of arthritis medication, the vet erroneously gave us 2 mg, but then lost half of it on the exam table and then give the cat another shot of a random amount of meds, because we all know she wouldn't have been able to know how much she actually lost when she messed up the injection. Now we have to monitor the cat to make sure he doesn't have a reaction from an overdose. Then charges us double saying that it was supposed to be double the dose we were told when scheduling this after the previous $320 checkup.

We went here when our normal vet was too booked up to see our cat in a timely fashion, plus we were a bit tired of musical chairs of different vets. We thought we would try this place again after previous bad experiences, but that vet is longer there. Boy do we regret coming here.

Edited to include follow up.
I was going to give them a 2 or a 3 star review until I saw my receipt. I'll start with the positive first because it wasn't all terrible.
I was disappointed because I did research on boarding facilities attached to vet offices and they had a bunch of 5 star reviews over the last few years. I saw some of the old lower reviews but I thought they must've had a change in management a few years ago so I decided to go with them. I wish I had gone somewhere else.

Reason for the 2/3 star review:
-My dog is alive and happy to be home per usual from a boarding stay.
-They did contact us when they said that my dog was going to run out of food so we were able to send some over before she ran out. She has a sensitive stomach. Although she shouldn't have run out if they were feeding her what we listed on the cage card. We always pack an extra day's worth of food in case some is spilled or something happens and we can't pick her up as scheduled.
-3 star because they give a complementary bath (small charge for oatmeal shampoo).
-The overall bill wasn't exorbitant.
-it says online that they let them out 4 times a day.

Now the reasons for 1 star:
-I only received one photo update for her entire 6 day stay. She did not look like she was having a good time in the photos like she has at past boarding facilities. One photo maybe looked okay when she was presumably asking for either a pet or to be let in from outside. The other she looked so down compared to her usual self. (Mgmt contacted after review and said they would start doing better on this in future)
-when I set up our account with them, I provided my husband's information. He was also the one to drop off our dog for the stay. Then for pick up- they racially profiled him and went back and forth about getting him checked out and letting him take our dog home; and kept goign in the back to talk which was odd. They kept trying to get him to leave without our dog saying that they would text later when the system was back up OR write down his credit card info on a sticky note to be ran later (also without letting him take our dog home). If the system was truly down, the correct thing to do would've been to invoice us and let us pay via a check/card at a later date and let us take our dog home. Our dog is home because when my husband said he would stay there to wait for the system to be back up and wasn't leaving without our dog, it was up and working within 5 minutes after that.
-they medicated our dog WITHOUT our permission stating they give all the animals a supplement to remain calm in boarding. It's no wonder she didn't look like herself in the photo update, she probably had the supplement earlier. I don't care that it was a small charge on my bill. I've paid more money for an extra playtime before. What I care about is that she was given supplements without our knowledge or consent. Nowhere on her boarding agreement or cage card (I saved them) did it mention calming supplements being a standard for their boarded animals. Her old boarding place never once told us she needed medicated during one of her stays with them. IF they felt it was needed then they should have had a vet call us to discuss treatment options; especially given that this was her first visit there. But that isn't the case because they told us on pick up that they give it to all the animals being boarded. I took a tour and none of the dogs were barking when I walked back there. I should've seen that as a red flag, but I assumed they were just taking the dogs out often and treating them well.
[Mgmt claims we were told at drop off & said they would start asking for initials moving forward. Whether it was checked intentionally or not by staff, we would've said no had we been informed of the supplement. Mgmt also said we were misunderstanding the explanation of the charge that was given at pick up, that the supplement is not a standard for all animals but offered to all that have a long stay. That doesn't fix that we were told the desk area may have just been loud when we were asked].

I literally cannot praise them enough. They are SOO kind and so helpful. My dog choked on something, they took me super last minute and the Doctor was absolutely amazing. He ended up being okay, and they didn’t even charge me for my visit. TRULY an amazing staff from the front desk, techs to the Doctor. They were very accommodating regardless of the fact that they were swamped! We’ve been meaning to switch vets since we recently moved back to Winfield, and Four Seasons Animal is definitely the place to go. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great vet!
