I drive 35 minutes each way just to go to Freeburg Animal Hospital because of the amazing care provided to my 17 year old cat. This is the most compassionate comprehensive care out there! They really do care and have several “resident cats” that live in the office that have had a rough past but are happy and comfy in their new loving home ❤️

I went with my sister to put down her beloved dog. It was awful, but the staff was wonderful. Gave us all the time we needed. Included paw print cards for us. The vet spoke so sweetly to little Tia Marie as she passed. I wish no one ever has to do that, but if, God forbid you do, they are wonderful.

Your pets are in the best hands & care of Dr Nieman & his staff. I highly recommend this animal hospital.

I arrived in Shiloh when I PCS’d to Scott AFB Oct 2020. After searching through multiple local vets, I chose Freeburg Animal Hospital because of the caring & kind staff, availability in scheduling on short notice, and Dr Nieman’s compassionate heart. My dog has always been leery around men but the good doctor’s baby-talk made her feel comfortable & allowed him to check her. (Apparently dogs really like this.) So we have been coming here from the start.

After 13 years by my side, my sweet Rosie passed away on Friday, 13 Jan 2022. We were lucky to have an attentive staff who made her comfortable before her final moments. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

We have gone to Dr Niemann for many years. First we had a pit bull who had seizures & Dr Niemann put him on potassium bromide instead of heavy seizure meds. This completely worked & he had no seizures for 7 years. He is a truly amazing vet who really cares about the animals. Balboa loved coming to the vet & seeing him. He is fantastic with animals. Now we ( well my son) has another dog & we bring him there as well. Thank you Dr Niemann for all you do.

My dog had surgery he got neutered. I had a voucher on top being charged extra!! They should let you know this up front!! What is the point of having a voucher?When he had the surgery, they say generally males do not mess with it!! Now he needs one so now they want me to pay out-of-pocket, I thought that if you have surgery that the pain medication would have been included with a cone!! When she called to check on him, she kept calling he a she!! You don’t know your patient?
