What a remarkable human. Dr. Jeanine Au exudes love. Her care, touch, and compassion for both human and animal is exemplary. During a time of great grief and sadness, her presence and love is most needed. We can't thank you enough for helping our beautiful, Rosie, transition with grace and beauty. She was surrounded by love when she entered our family, and you allowed us to surround her with love as she exited. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Dr Jeanine Au could not have been more wonderful for such a difficult time at the end of our cat’s life. She took such genuine loving care of our beloved kitty during and after her last moments and I cannot recommend her enough. Dr Au understands cats and cat people and is gentle, kind , patient and caring.

Worthy of a hundred stars. The kindness I was shown was immeasurable.
I used her services to put my senior dog Elvis to rest, one of the hardest decision I ever had to make. It was an extra heartbreaking moment, as Elvis had been my husband's dog for 20 years, and my husband had passed away just months before. I knew I was going to be a wreck.
She was so kind and gentle, empathic, and patient. I felt she understood that I was in the depths of grief.
I was surrounded by some of my BFFs who had helped me throughout the painful year, and she fit in as if she was one of us, a friend we already knew.
The process was as smooth and gentle as such a painful moment can be, thanks to her knowledge and care. She explained the process and gave me time to ask questions.
She didn't rush out after, she gave us plenty of time. We made sure Elvis's kitty sisters got to say goodbye, and that we got to have some final moments with him. She wrapped him carefully in blankets in a basket and handled him with love and respect.
His ashes were returned with care as well. I know it takes a special kind of person to do this kind of work and Dr. Au is that special person. I am so grateful for everything. ❤

It's an odd thing to say a pet euthanasia business did an excellent job, but they did.

My Kitty was very old (17) and in chronic pain from advanced arthritis and newly developed bone spurs, but I wasn't sure if it was the right time to euthanize. Of all the places around Los Angeles, Gold Coast was not only the most reasonably priced one, but they also offered keepsakes that I would want.

When I called Gold Coast, the phone was answered promptly by a kind and compassionate person, who answered all my questions and concerns. It gave me the clarity I needed that it was the right decision, as Kitty's quality of life had plummeted and she was quite literally miserable ;,(

Making the appointment online was very easy and straightforward, and their communication throughout the entire process was impeccable; I got a text message the day of letting me know the vet was on her way and the ETA. This helped greatly in preparing myself for the appointment, there were no surprises.

The Doctor herself was very warm and sensitive to the situation when she arrived, I didn't feel rushed at all in saying goodbye to my baby girl. Dr Au treated Kitty's body gently and with respect, and my keepsake of her front paws ink print was available a few days after and turned out beautifully. They charged me exactly what they quoted for everything. I opted for community cremation and ash scattering because remains freak me out.

As hard and heartbreaking as it was to say goodbye to a loved one, Gold Coast made the process so much easier so that I only had to focus on my cat in her final hours. Thank you, Dr. Au and Tommy.

My one true love, my soulmate, my KnightHawk flew on to the promised land yesterday ? I knew early in the morning it was time. I scanned the internet for an at home service in between my sobs. I quickly was overwhelmed with unclear websites, daunted by negative reviews, and I was un-eased by the hoops to jump through just to talk to someone to plan what was to come.

That is until I finally came across Gold Coast ❤️ I was skeptical because they have a 5-star review and I’ve never seen that. I’m so grateful I proceeded. Their site is so beautiful, easy to understand, answers a lot of the questions .. and!! You’re able to schedule the procedure directly on site. I was lucky enough to have same day appointments open to choose from. They respond with confirmation of scheduling, more information, and a clear quote to approve. In such a traumatic and sad situation, I so much appreciated the ease and helpful process they have.

When it was time, Dr. Au was so incredibly empathetic and helpful. She fully explained what to expect and was so supportive throughout the experience. I am forever grateful for her kindness and am so, so grateful I found her. I couldn’t imagine anyone else or any other way to go through this.

I highly recommend Dr Au and Tommy of Gold Coast for one of the most difficult and painful decisions you may have to do- to put your baby down.
My girl toy poodle, whom was almost 17 years old, got severe pancreatitis. The vet would not let me take her home since she had organ failure but I insisted, as I read the scariest part for a pet is their last breaths being apart from you or even worse with strangers at a vet office. I promised I would find someone ASAP to put her down at home and put her out of her pain. It was a Sunday night and no one was avail. I called almost everyone I could find on Yelp and most were not avail until Monday night. Luckily Tommy texted me early Monday AM and Dr Au was avail Monday morning.
The booking process was very organized and easy to book online. Dr Au came on time even though I had booked only hours before. She was so compassionate and did not rush me. This was different from one place I called whom said I had "15 min" and the doctor would have to leave. Dr Au must have stayed for like 45 minutes for the whole process. It will be forever etched in my heart and memory. I cannot thank Gold Coast enough for making my baby's last breaths as painless as possible and letting her go in peace. She was on her bed with me and in my arms.
My baby finally arrived home with her box, paw prints and hair. I cry every time I see it but it's really beautiful. I highly recommend Tommy and Dr Au for their compassion and professionalism.

I wanted to share my experience with Tommy and Dr Au.

Obviously seeking someone for this type of care is already difficult and anxiety inducing. Tommy and Dr Au were extremely kind, patient and graceful during this entire experience. Dr Au was able to come out when we needed her to, explained everything in a compassionate manner, and allowed us all the time we needed to say goodbye to our Sabrina. Aftercare was also handled by Tommy and Dr Au and the communication during this entire process was second to none.

If this is something you are or will need to seek in the future, Dr Au and team will be there, to provide thorough, compassionate and human care during that difficult time. Her kindness will not be forgotten. Thank you Dr Au.

Dr. Au is the kindest, most compassionate veterinarian we could've hoped for. Making the decision to put our precious 17-year old baby, Othello to sleep was the hardest thing to do. Dr. Au took the time to walk us through the process and helped confirm it was the right decision so he wouldn't suffer. She treated him with dignity and respect and put him in a basket with a blanket once he transitioned as if he really were just asleep.

The office administator, Tommy, was very warm and sympathetic when we called. Upon speaking with him on a Saturday morning, he was very understanding and did what he could to adjust Dr. Au's schedule and fit us in, within an hour, so Othello wouldn't have to suffer for two days until Monday morning.

I'll forever be grateful that Othello went to kitty heaven at home where he was comfortable and that he was treated with so much care.

For anyone who has to make the hard decision for their fur baby, know that you will be in great hands with Dr. Au.
