My sensitive dog, Brandi, has gone through a lot such a developing a rash on her body, an allergic reaction bump, not eating and feeling sick. The staff always took her in as soon as they could and gave me instructions and medication for a very reasonable price. They are very gentle with her, and kept up with her health as well along the journey. Unfortunately I moved, but I very much appreciate this special place and hope our next vet is just as great as this one. The staff is amazing and knowledgeable.

We went in with our pet who had a slip disc and was unable to walk or move. This happened all of a sudden on the weekend. An emergency clinic after an X-ray advised taking him to UCD for surgery. We were hoping for something less invasive. Dr Manoja, the vet took the time to examine him and prescribed meds and has been following up with us consistently on his progress and we have had 2-3 more visits with her. Happy to report that our pet has improved considerably and is walking again.
It is not just the vet, the front desk and the entire staff are extremely caring. Last minute schedules were accommodated keeping in mind that our guy needed it. We are very happy that our dear friend referred us to this hospital.
This practice has always been quite busy, but that hasn't prevented excellent care and treatment that works without needing a second mortgage. My pet loves the facility & doesn't squirm and show hesitation as in the past at some other vets.

This place was amazing. Stayed open even after closing so that they could scan an an animal that I found. Made me an appointment to get him fixed and checked out on that next monday even though it was a friday. Inexpensive visit cost. He went home on saturday though. Thank you so much for all you did for that poor puppy.

The staff and Doctors are really nice. Very helpful and responsive. They have taken care of ensuring that our pet has the necessary documents for international travel for a couple of years now. Happy with their knowledge about this and this has made traveling with our pet much easier.

Took my dog in while sick to get blood work done. Was under the impression they tested for everything. Because they didnt do a t4 test to check my dogs thyroid my dogs vestibular symptoms never got better ( they said there was no cause or cure for this condition, when in reality thyroid medication could have made him better in one month) my dog who was very healthy before his vestibular episode died one year later due to hypothyroidism and suffered immensely the entire time. This could have been prevented and reversed had they just tested his thyroid and given proper medications. I feel like i failed my animal who was supposed to die of old age. Thanks for making this the worst year of my life, wish to god i never went here

Daisy was a very sick girl. I would call them last minute needing an emergency appointment, they accommodated no issue and multiple times! I felt very comfortable bringing Daisy here; they explained in great detail the possible issues and possible exams needed. I felt very informed. We soon found out she had pyometra 🙁 and needed a risky surgery. The office was closing in an hour and with no hesitation, the doctor offered to stay after hours to do the emergency surgery! They could have easily sent me to an ER vet which would have cost me 4-6k! I didn’t have pet insurance at the time and I feel I got a great price on the surgery cost. I was very thankful. The surgery went great and Daisy is a happy girl again! They even threw in a couple free cans of the wet dog food so she had something good to eat during her recovery 🙂 For the one review saying the staff is unprofessional… absolutely not. That is 100 percent false. I had the pleasure of meeting both doctors and they were great. I strongly recommend this vet hospital and trust my pet in their care! Thank you!

Our cat, Mr. Tux, had a blocked ureter a year ago (crystals and possible stones).. It returned last week (May 2024). We were warned it might happen and took Tux to a vet closer to home, only because it was an emergency, but after he was treated, the blocked bladder returned 36 hours later. We then contacted GHAH, and they worked wonders.

Tux desperately required a specialist to perform a perineal urethrostomy which creates a new urinary opening that decreases the length of the urethra and allows urine to bypass this narrowed region. This surgery can decrease the likelihood of recurring obstruction.

Tux was in incredible pain and couldn't urinate. His bladder had swollen to the size of an avocado. We knew he'd die if not treated within the next 24 hours.

No matter where you go, the surgery is expensive. I'd spent the better part of the day scrambling for money. The previous weeks ER visit sapped what money we had. I even started a GoFundMe (something I'd never done before), and was grasping at straws to save my cats life. Ii needed $400, by 6pm, just to schedule the specialist, then the remainder when I took Tux in in the morning. When 5:50 came around and I didn't have anywhere close to what was needed, I contacted the office and told them I didn't have it but thank you. I was a slobbering wet mess, lemme tell ya. I didn't even wait to hear what the receptionist had to say, I just hung up, fully expecting to make a trip to any local vet and extinguish the blazing light of a cat who has filled my heart with love.

Fast forward a few minutes. They call back, and I still don't know how it all worked out, but they proposed an offer, which I was able to do.

The next day. I took Mr. Tux in at 9, then left. The next thing I know, I get a call from the specialist stating he (Tux) is out of surgery and it went well, with no complications.

He told me, "I've never seen a hospital care so much for their customers."

That says volumes. An independent veterinarian was shocked at the hospitals compassion.

It's the first night of many with my Mr. Tux, also known as Grand Master Meow. He's in pain, for now, but he will live. I was thoroughly unprepared for the horrible drive to have his Light extinguished. Now, with the collective compassion and empathy from this wondrous hospital, I'll not have to do that, not until Mr. Tux is as old as me.

Thank you, Greenback-Hazel. You saved his life, and brought mine out from despair!
