We have known Dr.Bill since he opened up his veterinary business. He has always been there for us under any circumstance. He has seen my pups from the time they were little until their last minute of life. Always been a friendly and caring staff to help us.

Dr. Brom is a wonderful, caring doctor that takes time for you and your pet. He will go in great detail explaining what he finds and what he feels needs to be done for the best outcome. His prices are comparable to others in the area.

I’ve been utilizing this vet clinic for a little over 4 years. I want to clearly state that I absolutely love Dr. Brom. He and “most” of his staff are very helpful and intuitive when it comes to your fur babies. However, I’ve had two incidences that made me take a second glance when it comes to this clinic.
First: A while ago I visited this clinic to receive yearly care for my 3 dogs. One of my dogs have separation anxiety and loves to stay by my side especially in places she doesn’t visit daily. So, instead of letting the vet techs take her and leave the room without me, I decided to go to the back with my dog and the vet techs. The one lady (I’m not sure what her name was) seemed as if she didn’t want me back there with my dog. As a matter of fact, her demeaner made it distinctly clear that she was not happy with me being back there as an observer and supporter if needed. I let this incident go and mitigated it to the fact that maybe she felt that my dog would cooperate better without me being there. Although, these are rescue dogs (meaning that they were saved from an impending death, and I felt the need to take them under my wing and care for them financially and emotionally), I still treat them almost like I would my human children. I find it a little unsettling when a vet office doesn’t want the dog’s owner to see them weigh or give the dogs care like shots or heartworm tests (excluding surgical procedures which is understandable). It almost makes me think they’re hiding something . Previous vets/vet technicians always gave me the opportunity or option to interact and be a part of my animal’s care.
The second incident happened a couple of months ago. I usually order the dogs heartworm meds from online resources right after they take their last pill. That gives me one month to order and receive their new 6-month supply (which is still extremely expensive for 3 dogs even with the discounts but cheaper than what the vet clinic offers). Time goes by and I still haven't received their meds in the mail. The online source informed me that someone by the name of Shae would not sign off on the prescriptions. I called Greenbriar Animal Clinic and finally spoke to Shae. I explained to Shae that my dogs have zero heartworm medication and I’d have to find the time (outside of their regular visit to the clinic which was 3 months away) to get THREE dogs to the clinic at the last minute (During this time I learned that my dogs were not receiving the same treatment at the same time as I intended them too. Why else would I bring all three dogs instead of one. I travel to far not to bring all of them at once). So....Instead of letting me order the prescription, allowing me to obtain the medications and then conduct the heartworm tests on their regular scheduled visit, she advised that “one” of my dogs had not had a heartworm test and I would need to bring them in for the test before she could sign off on the prescriptions….and she said this with an audible giggle. So, what about my other dogs? And what happened to making an appointment which is usually required at this clinic? Shae never attempted to schedule an appointment for the supposed required heartworm test, and she really did not seem to be concerned about the fact that these dogs might miss their regular dosage of heartworm medication because their owner could not get off work and drive 30 minutes so that they could conduct a heartworm test. Shae may not be responsible for the clinics policies but her response to my dilemma wasn’t warranted and seemed careless.
Well, it’s led me to locate a veterinarian who is a little closer to where I live, and they have discounted medications in their office which eliminates the need to order cheaper medications online. Again, I’d like to reiterate that Dr. Brom is a courteous, compassionate, and thoughtful person, as well as some of his staff and the two stars are for them. However, this last incident risked my dog’s lives and that lack of thoughtfulness and disregard, I can’t get past.

Our family really likes the vet here at Greenbrier Animal Clinic. We haven't had any problems with the veterinarian.
However, yesterday we decided to try out the grooming services for our family dog which is a miniature schnauzer. We asked for a standard schnauzer cut. We stressed this three times, and even added that we would like it short on her back, and to leave her legs fluffy. When we picked her up she was scalped from head to toe, even on her nose. When we questioned the staff we were told to "talk with the groomer". Which we had done three times prior to the appointment. The groomer never expressed concerns with the cut beforehand nor did she have questions about it. We will not be back for grooming services.
