Our little doxie was in very bad shape with a possible cancer diagnosis or liver failure over Thanksgiving. She gave his belly a very thorough exam with ultrasound going over his bloated tummy looking at every organ multiple times. Needless to say, he was very sick and we were in fear of loosing him. It was a very real possibility. Dr Ward is a genius and figured out the problem. He went in for multiple checkups and bloodwork to monitor his condition. Here it is 4 months later and his labs are basically back to normal! Liver failure is gone! He is doing very well. Also, the entire staff gave our boy so much attention and were so gentle with him and his dire condition. I cannot thank them enough. She saved our dog.

Dr. Ward and her team got me in right away for an ultrasound for my cat who has a million problems! They were so sweet and compassionate with him throughout the entire visit. Thankfully, she didn’t find anything too terribly wrong, and she gave me advice on how to manage his myriad of other conditions. Odo says, thank you!

Unbelievably unprofessional... And unfortunately she corners the market in Veterinary Oncology in Sarasota.

First went to her for a mass on my 13yo dogs face. Unfortunately, mast cell tumor. I was devastated. Went on a suggestion from my vet and she was incredibly rude from the first encounter. Gave me MAYBE 2 mins of her time to tell me my options and left the room. I did not accept that behavior and stated my concerns. She then came back to speak to me for more than 5 mins, visibly frustrated from having to give me more time. As stated above, unfortunately she is the ONLY oncologist around so I've reluctantly had to stay in her care. Fats forward to now, my dog being 14 and just needing to continue on the chemotherapy as surgery on his face is not an option. I do not want to go to her any more. I voiced this concern to my vet who stated she would try to figure out something in a way of me being able to not have to visit her but possibly her approve his medication on 1-800- pet meds.

I then received the most unprofessional phone call from Dr. Heidi Ward herself yelling, cussing, and crying at me first thing in the morning. I am absolutely appalled. Never in my life have I been treated with such disrespect.

She may "help" some, but it's only because we are all put in the position to HAVE to go to her otherwise drive over an hour north, which I will happily do to not have to be exposed to such awful care.

We go to LENGTHS for our babies because we love them.... This was and still is an AWFUL experience. My dog has cancer. That in itself is enough...

Took my 13 year old dog here for a suspicious lump in her groin. They were very good with her during exams and ultrasound . The Dr. Is very caring and explained everything going on very clearly. I was allowed to be with my dog during all the testing to keep her calm. I highly recommend this office.

Dr. Ward is experiencing in her field she was very hand on letting me part of baby's ultrasound. I love that. She is very very thorough with her. I am very pleased that she was recommended for us. The staff was really friendly and Dr. Ward was to. Great with our baby.

I can't say enough about Dr. Ward - I brought my Dixie there after being diagnose with a mass in the liver. The procedure she did was to make her more comfortable and buy more time. She is a wonderful caring Doctor who took the time to call me at night to see how my Dixie was doing. She goes Far & Beyond!

They saved my cat! He grew a tumor overnight, and suddenly became very lethargic. I was given an appointment so quickly. When the first chemo meds didn't take, they had another option and it worked! All the while, they carefully monitored my buddy's kidneys (he is older) and made sure his thyroid was doing okay when he lost weight.

Everyone at this office is so kind, and they love my little old man cat. They're extremely thorough, and willing to work with my work schedule for late appointments. I'm so glad I was referred to them, they saved his life and I'm so grateful.
