I wanted to give a huge thanks to Dr. Jennifer Derfler for taking the time to listen to my concerns and offer a treatment plan that worked for both my situation and my pet’s needs. Although I opted to limit the diagnostic tools, Dr. Derfler did not minimize my decision but rather used her expertise to offer solution options that I was comfortable with. A zillion thank you’s!!!

I took my Corgi mix into Happy Valley Animal Hospital. We received the most compassionate, professional, and amazing care. My baby was diagnosed with IVDD. Dr. Elsing and the technician who cared for Bean, words will not convey my deepest gratitude for how well you helped Bean, but also me. The front desk staff who greeted us and have answered or relayed updates and questions… amazing people too. I highly recommend this Animal Hospital. 5 stars all around!!! Super nice doctors and helpful team. My dogs both needed last minute appointments and they not only fit them in same day, they both left with a plan. Caring team. A bit pricey and long wait, but convenience is key.

If your pet is actually struggling and in need of real care
DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. Useless staff from the front desk it them thing, to the young nurses with no knowledge, to the vet. This is the only place I know of and put my trust into, I brought my cat in 3 days ago and the nurse said upon physical examination he is fine, offered $400 for blood work with no explanation of why, I took him home with medication they prescribed. Yesterday he was in really bad condition so I brought him back over, the new nurse didn't even check on him she just brought him back for blood work and said she'd be back in to discuss payment. Thankfully they brought a different nurse and Dr who we're actually decent and helped redo the initial exam (waived the fee) & come up with a conclusion. And the conclusion was that he was too far gone and I should be open to euthanizing him. Today my cat passed away at home at 5-6 years old. Like I said if you just need nurturing or vaccinations I wouldn't be worried to take your pet here. Other than that they have proven themselves to me incompetent and useless in the care and treatment of animals. Honestly depressing but this review is strictly objective. God bless

If I could give zero stars, I would.
My dog became ill early last year. As the illness progressed, I started taking her here for treatment rather frequently (we have been taking all of our pets here for years for shots and basic care). HVAH would guess what she had and give her treatment after treatment, but nothing they did ever worked and she deteriorated quickly.
Recently moved and had to go to a new vet, who immediately suspected Valley Fever, tested for it, and confirmed it, but by that point, it was too late and my baby girl passed away. Happy Valley Animal Hospital also dragged their feet sending her scans to the new vet upon our request. The new vet remarked that the medications she had been put on by HVAH didn’t even make sense, given her symptoms.
Make no mistake, HVAH wants your money by any means necessary. Perhaps it’s a good hospital for routine, basic care, but do not trust this place with your pet’s life.

Rest in peace, Bella, my angel. You were everything to me. I hope you are resting easier now.
