Hawthorn Animal Clinic is the absolute best in my opinion. I can’t say enough good about Dr. Zerrin. They have always treated my dog well. They are compassionate and professional. They listen to concerns and have always given the best care possible to my dog. Dr. Zerrin did a surgical repair on my dogs obliterated ACL and meniscus using a technique that was a fraction of the cost of what the recommended surgery would be and she did great. She up and about as if nothing ever happened. She’s not a small dog by any means but she is comfortable with the staff and never gives them any problems

The staff at hawthorne, from the reception to the vets, are amazing. They handle my pets (i have two that i take to them regularly) with love, kindness, and respect. I know that when i drop off my furry friends, they are going to do everything to maintain their comfort and keep them calm and safe. They give me detailed followups over the phone if something comes up during bloodwork/scans that needs to be addressed. They treat my pets as if they were their own. They dont insist on unnecessary treatments and i know they always have my guys best interests at heart. Any time i have questions they answer them fully and never make me feel as if im bothering them by asking for more detailed information. I highly recommend them to everyone i know. Keep up the amazing work!!

I struggled with trying to find a great vet for my Charleigh.. especially being a first time pet owner. All the vets in the Evansville area weren't taking new clients so I started to panic that I wasn't going to find anywhere. It was then I was referred by a close colleague of mine to see if Hawthorne Animal Clinic was taking new patients and they got all my info over the phone the day I called. I love taking Charleigh to the vet knowing that the staff is going to take great care of her! They're all so welcoming and kind. Even Charleigh loves them! I definitely recommend here for any of your pets!

I've moved since but drove an hour to Harrisburg,IL.for my puppy's vx.,spay and Microchip after my senior rescue lab was being treated by Hawthorne. She was diagnosed with large tumor at Hawthorne. I was told at evaluation she was terminal but w/ pills could live longer. "She'd start coughing again and there'd b nothing could b done." Two months later got home from work she couldn't move No Coughing. New vet says maybe blood clot. I was 15 minutes away they didn't close for an hour. Receptionist said "Drs. had bad day we can see Wynter tomorrow at 8a.m. I said I can't shoot her. She died that night.Painfully! If u have terminal pet euthanize it. I think it was Dr. Green not sure never made it to appt.

When I have a last minute issue they are able to get my dog in right away. Friendly staff. The vet takes their time in the room and answers all questions and explains everything thoroughly. They care for every animal that is brought in and do everything they can to take care of them!

I can't say enough about Dr Murphy at Hawthorne Animal Clinic. While navigating end of life issues and decisions with our amazing husky with us, she was absolutely compassionate, professional, fact based and remarkably intelligent. Truly a wonderful doctor and talented person. Thank you for helping all of us through a difficult time.
