Dr. Kilby is the best veterinarian in town, hands down. Don’t believe me, go and check her out. She is knowledgeable like most, but she is also thorough, kind, caring. Not only is she all that towards your pet, she also treats dog parents with grace, understanding and so much love. This office has also some of the most efficient while at the same time caring people. It is an absolute pleasure to go there and know that your pet is in good hands. Here is my lovely lady Abby. Have been going through a rough patch, but she is in the best hands!

Every veterinarian here, tech and front desk workers have always been so kind. I’ve been taking my lab here since he was 6 weeks old and everyone has truly been so caring, understanding and patient with my questions. My dog loves coming to the vet, even when he’s sick! I used to be so anxious bringing him in because of how excited and jumpy he gets, but they make him feel so comfortable and give him lots of love! Highly recommend.

Very knowledgeable staff, very kind, caring and helpful. We switched to this vet from another vet because we weren’t getting answers for our fur baby. He’s been suffering for months and we finally made the switch, on our first visit I was mind blown at how much I have learned it was very educational, informational and made me feel at ease. Hands down, the best in town!

We typically see Dr. Kilby and she’s excellent, but we have also seen other veterinarians there and all have been great. The front office staff and the technicians are fantastic as well.

I take my dog and my cat here and have always just selected any doctor that’s available. EVERY one has been amazing!! Doctors, the techs, even down to the front desk have all been super sweet and great with my boys. It’s always been super easy to get an appointment and they’ve even been accommodating in an emergency with my dog! It is on the pricier side, but the quality of the care greatly outweighs the cost. I fully trust that my pets are in good hands.

I recently had my dog boarded here as well and he came back in the best mood! I’ll take that as a sign that everything there went great!

Definitely recommending this vet to everyone for all veterinary and boarding needs!

The office staff and techs at Hawthorne were very friendly and accommodating. Of course Dr. Kilby is a wonderful person whose love of animals is always apparent, and reputation for being a fine veterinarian has followed her throughout her career. I first fell under her spell in St. Louis where she was a member of the Kirkwood Animal Hospital practice where she was highly regarded by hundreds of clients and their fur babies. I am very happy to have reconnected with her in Bloomington once again and Hawthorne Park where once again my newest cat, Keepher, received personal and top notch medical care. I give the Hawthorne Park practice 10 MEOWS!

Drop off and pick up went smooth, my dog was safe in his kennel. However when I called to schedule, they were not planning to exercise my border collie or give him a bath after 7 days boarded. I was disappointed that I was paying for a service, but them not going the extra mile like some other facilities do. I was however able to cluster his vaccinations and a cyst aspiration during his stay, so that was convenient.

Everyone at Hawthorne was wonderful when my dog had a medical emergency. They saw her quickly and were professional and attentive and explained what the problem was and what had to happen to treat her. They stayed late to make sure she was stable and followed up to see that she was still healing and showing improvement the next day. Caring staff in all positions!
