It is never easy saying goodbye to a beloved furbaby. When we knew it was time to help our sweet dog, Bailey, cross the rainbow bridge, it was a Sunday and we were lucky to find Dr Brown and Heartstrings Pet Hospice. They were so nice and understanding when I called, and Dr Brown was available that same day to come out to our house. She was kind, compassionate and caring. She took her time and proceeded at whatever pace was comfortable for us. Bailey passed peacefully and surrounded by love. Dr. Brown took such gentle care of Bailey during and after the procedure. We are so thankful for Dr Brown and Heartstrings.

A True Blessing During the Hardest Time...Losing Emma was incredibly difficult, but Heartstrings Pet Hospice made the process of saying goodbye more bearable. Their compassion, support, and respect shown to the family and Emma during this heartbreaking time was truly invaluable. Saying goodbye to our beloved cat Lucy was one of the most heartbreaking experiences we’ve ever faced, but having Dr. Erin Brown by our side made all the difference. From the moment she arrived, Dr. Brown radiated compassion, kindness, and understanding. She took the time to get to know Lucy, speak gently to her, and ensure that we felt supported and heard throughout the entire process. She even allowed our goldendoodle time to say her goodbyes.

Dr. Brown created a calm, peaceful environment that honored Lucy’s life and the deep love we shared with her. She explained everything with such grace and patience, never rushing, always allowing space for our emotions. It was clear that this isn’t just a job for her — it’s a calling. Her presence brought a sense of peace to an otherwise painful moment.

We are so grateful for Dr. Brown’s care and the dignity she gave Lucy in her final moments. It takes a special person to do this work with such heart. Thank you, Dr. Brown, for helping us give Lucy the gentle, loving goodbye she deserved. We will never forget it.

Our beloved 17 year-old cat declined rapidly and the last thing we wanted to do was frighten him by putting him in a carrier and transporting him to a vet for euthanasia. I contacted Heartstrings and they scheduled me for the following day.
I cannot sing the praises of Dr. Erin high enough. She was so kind and compassionate, and gave my cat the dignity he deserved.
I highly recommend this service to anyone faced with this very difficult decision.

I was very impressed with the compassion and care I received from Heartstrings! I am a RN. I was not sure if my 16 year old Pekingese needed hospice care or it was time to say goodbye. Dr. Ledain was professional and very compassionate to me , my other dog and my sweet Lilly.She sat on the floor beside Lilly in her bed. She told me that I was giving Lilly a gift because it was time. Lilly went over the rainbow bridge peacefully at home. I highly recommend Heartstrings!❤️
