We took my brothers dog Sasha there because she got attacked by another dog and from the time we walked in the door until the time we left they were all really nice. The receptionists, the tech , and the Dr we're all friendly and welcoming. The tech I'm not sure what his name was but he was an Asian guy with glasses, was really patient with her even pet her and talked to her until she got used to him and sat with her after her surgery. He explained all the things they were gonna do and the price of it all and even showed me where to do payments so we could afford it. I would definitely make the 45 minute trip again if I need a vet. We went to tri county before and had a bad experience so it's worth it to make the trip to Bloomington. Thank you Dr Li and staff ?

I called in panic for emergency care on my dog, the woman on the phone was very hardheaded. It gave me an offset vibe. I get there and the first nurse had very poor hygiene (besides the point but come on)

They helped my dog by giving him oxygen treatment and some pain meds.

They suggested that he gets full work up in which I agreed. This was around $1700. The doctor came back and called me hours later and gave me a lot a lot of information in which I did not understand. I came in and picked up my dog. However he seemed very loopy and out of it, scared and in same condition I brought him in minus the breathing issue.

My main concern is the diagnostics were suggestions on what is wrong, not an actual diagnosis. It was very obvious my pet was in distress still and seemed me to want to swipe my credit card for more answers.

When being discharged I was very flustered and tired and upset that this has taken so long, the nurse was very vague and extremely snotty to me. When I suggested my pet was still in a bad condition. I could tell she held her tongue with what she wanted to say to me. I am no Karen, but this is not cool.

I have very mixed feelings about this place as they treated my dog with care so im bot sure how to feel about this experience.

Dr Laura and the team were incredible. So gentle and loving with our boy and very friendly and informative. We are VERY pleased.

Everyone was excellent about explaining everything. We got a clear plan of care during appointment and then it was emailed. I love that the checkout was done in the exam room. Also there were no other dogs in the lobby. It was a great experience glad I switched vets.

By far, this is the best vet I've ever gone to in the over 20 states I've lived. Very clean, no wait, greeted immediately, staff knew my dogs name walking in, paying attention to schedule. The young lady (vet tech I think) was amazing, explained every step thoroughly and clear to understand. Great breakdown of prices and explanation of needs vs adds (and why to add depending on situation). The Dr came in shortly thereafter (there was even a button on the wall that stated if your waiting over 5-10 min in here or if your dog worses, push button), did a quick and thorough exam, explained every course of action and what's upcoming. Pay right in room alone with staff only. Treats for my dog at every step from entry to exit of building to ensure calm and happy pup. Puppy plan is significantly better than PetSmart/blanchfield that I've used in past. Overall, I couldn't be happier and it was worth the hour drive. Living in Champaign area, all vets claim not taking new clients and the UofI emergency room took over 8 hours just for an ear infection. Highland has an attached 24/7 emergency clinic, and I'll take that drive EVERYTIME.

The peace of mind that comes with having my dogs at Highland should come in pill form. No matter what happens, what time it is, who's working, we are always in such good hands. I think we must have seen every doctor by now (they have an impressive number and lineup of doctors) and they all CARE SO MUCH. My dogs are treated like pets by the whole staff.

This is the place to go if you are obsessed with your pet. My pet was a patient for 4 years, with over a dozen visits—I feel very comfortable saying they provide top-notch care and service. Dr Burkes and the many techs we met at Highland took incredible care of my senior dog, including solving problems I thought impossible. They are up to date on the latest technologies and medicine, and have tons of options right in their facility—plus they’re an emergency vet option.

Most importantly: they truly care about pets, their comfort, and their quality of life. Such a patient group of folks. They treated my senior like GOLD and made sure she was always comfortable (and spoiled!). They are busy, but it’s because they’re worth it. Truly a top-class vet. I recommend them to everyone. Thank you to everyone at Highland!!!
