We have been clients for ten years and we are delighted with Hilltop! They have given our 14 year old cat the very best care. Everyone is friendly and caring, and very efficient. It is easy to get an appointment and we can count on being seen on time. Dr. Floyd is the best. She’s very thorough and has such great rapport with our cat that vet visits aren’t traumatic for her!

Dr. Hill was able to see my dog for a last minute, same-day appointment before the holiday weekend. She was caring and down to earth, which is an often-over-looked trait among doctors. She took the time to listen to our concerns, explain what she found wrong, and didn't upsell unnecessary procedures. The rest of the staff we interacted with was friendly and the facility was clean. We appreciate you all!

I had a Sick pet Turkey, I desperately was looking for a vet for. He was baby. Then I finally found an amazing Vet Marnie here at Hill Top when I called they were very sweet but they didn't have an opening for about a week and half but to be fair The vet only worked there Tuesday and Wednesday for exotic and it was a Monday. So I'm not Suprised she was extremely booked. But I did ask if any appointment became available to please let me know because I was so worried about my baby. Later that day they did call me back and was able to rearrange for me to bring him the very next day. I was so grateful that they called to get him in much sooner. Everyone their all the staff were so so nice. And Dr
Marnie and her tech are absolutely amazing they were so caring and thoroughly went over him and examined him and explained everything to us. They also have stayed in contact with me. Unfortunately we lost our Turkey but she is still helping us to find out what has happened to him for him to get sick and past way. To hopefully help prevent any of my others to get sick and past away. Right now we sent him for nercropsy as she highly recommended. I'm truly grateful to Hill Top for their Top notch, care and professionalism, and compassion. Thank you Hill Top and Thank you Dr. Marnie and her
Vet Techs.

I was very nervous to bring my puppy to a new vet. His usual vet is down in Orlando but driving 2 hours for visits isn’t always convenient or easy. I drove by Hilltop one day & thought it looked like a very nice facility. Within the next few days I had to make an unexpected appointment, so I scheduled with Hilltop. The facility is nice, clean, & the staff are very friendly. Cat (at the front desk) made me feel SO comfortable throughout the entire experience. She was very compassionate & understanding, & super sweet with my puppy. I will definitely keep Hilltop as my local vet.

After 20+ years, we are DONE with Hilltop. Dr Jones was a wonderful vet. She must have been tough to work for, because we saw umpteen different vets over the years. But the doctors, techs, and office people were all very nice. Our pets always received excellent care.

We have had several dogs over the years with serious, chronic health issues. I'm guessing that we have spent $50,000 at Hilltop since 2003. Maybe more. We currently have a Lab with allergies (don't they all?). He has been on Apoquel and Cytopoint - both VERY expensive - for years.

Since Dr Jones retired and sold the business several years ago, we have continued to bring our dog to Hilltop. Even though the personnel that we knew are long gone, we have been reasonably happy with the service. But that has changed...

Our Lab is eight years old and has been on Apoquel for probably five years. He needed a refill last week. We were told that he needed to be seen in order for the medication to be renewed. He's perfectly healthy and has been on the medication for years. After much complaining, they agreed to refill it. This was on Monday. Finally, on Thursday, after hearing nothing, we called. The Apoquel was ready. Gee, a phone call would've been nice. We have been out of meds since last weekend.

I needed to run to town Saturday morning, Hilltop used to be open until 1pm on Saturdays. They changed their hours to noon. Fair enough. I got stuck in traffic in Alachua (go figure), so I tried calling at 11:45. Several times. No answer. I arrived at 11:58 with debit card in hand. You'd think that it would be an easy $450 sale for them. The door was locked and the place was dark.

So, again...they've lost a longtime client/patient who doesn't spare any expense when it comes to their pets. We are going elsewhere.

I found Hilltop due to needing to get my prairie dog, Jose, neutered last year and finding a trustworthy vet to handle exotics isn't easy. Jose healed quickly, the staff and vets LOVED him and the price was very reasonable. I then became a reoccurring client for my senior dog, Emj, who had arthritis. They've been patient and sweet towards the ole gal too and helped her tremendously trying to find a concoction that has benefited her.
Included are the two patients that get treated like gold.

We've entrusted the care of our parrots to Dr. Marnie Thomas for years. She's compassionate towards people and animals, and takes her time to explain things. She's absolutely the best!
