I texted Ms. Kate Hodson a couple pictures of swelling on my horse’s chest after hours and WOW did I mess up! She called me back completely enraged and spoke highly unprofessionally to myself and about the barn staff I am boarding at & how poorly they ran their business for years now.
She went on to say after at least a half hour of ranting on an on that she was on vacation (probably in the Cayman Islands where she got most of her degree) that she was not feeling like she was ever going to come back to be a Veterinarian. I feel bad for her and I hope she gets the help she needs and deserves.

Dr. Kate is quite possibly the best equine vet I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I’ve been a client of hers since 03/2022 and she has provided excellent care to my four horses. She is so knowledgeable about veterinary medicine and always has research articles to share with you to support her knowledge. She wholeheartedly cares about your animals and their well being. Vets like her are absolutely worth their weight in gold. She’s honest, affordable, and genuine. I cannot imagine how she’s able to manage her time with all of the clients she provides services for. She is essentially Wonder Woman! No, she’s the Wonder Vet!

The best equine vet around. Dr. Kate has come out for us for routine care, lameness, rechecks, emergency, and even referred us to Purdue when she knew that would be the best extensive care for our horse. In order to come out on emergency, all she asks is that you are an established client who uses her services for routine/preventative care - a super simple and reasonable expectation. She is honest and responsive, super happy to have found her!

When my equine vet of 20yrs retired his practice I was fortunate to watch Dr Kate & her tech Cate work on friends' horses. And then lucky she was able to take on my 3 as clients. I have never been disappointed with her service and appreciate the care & knowledge she brings to each visit.

If you are looking for a vet who is still passionate about what she does, Dr. Kate is the vet for you. She is caring, kind and most of all, patient. I am not in her area, but I was able to haul in to her barn and get X-rays and injections on my horse. I was amazed by the time she took explaining everything to me, in detail. I wish I lived closer, as I would use her for routine care and then in the event of emergency.

I have always received top notch care for my horse. Even though I live on the far edge of her farm call area, she has always made time to get out here. She has saved my horse on more than one occasion, and done so in all types of weather. Always eager to help and always has an encouraging attitude. I have learned so much. Best horse vet I've had the pleasure of knowing.

Kate doesn’t return calls after calling her 5 times she promises to come out to you but never does she has a bad attitude and doesn’t know how to talk to people!! I wouldn’t recommend her to no one ever!! My horses needed their teeth done they have lost so much weight from dropping their food their not getting the nutrients they need because of that!! She’s nothing but a liar!! Til this day she still hasn’t called back or nothing!!
