Dr Weinberg is one of the most compassionate and caring veterinarian Doctors I have ever met.
He helped me care for a little stray I named Baby Girl, that I took in and then found out she had FIV.
She was very sick and other Doctors told me to put her down.
However, Dr Weinberg, unlike other Doctors who could not be bothered, really offered advise, medical attention and most if all compassion for this dear sweet Baby Girl.
I will forever be grateful to him.

The first time I called Dr.Weinberg was last fall a few days after my 9-year-old miniature poodle had been bitten by another dog at a boarding kennel in Georgetown. We recently moved to DE from MD so immediately after the attack, I called the vet who's been taking care of my dog all of her life. That vet prescribed an antibiotic for the infected wound. The antibiotic upset my dog's GI system and she was vomiting. I googled "vets near me" and found Dr. Weinberg. He recommended yogurt and rice to settle her stomach. And, he didn't request payment.

Recently, I called Dr. Weinberg on a Saturday night. My dog had been lethargic and mopey all day. She wouldn't eat or drink anything. She hardly moved and wouldn't play. Her body temperature was 102.8 F. Something was wrong! I called Dr. Weinberg and he said that he wanted to see my dog the next morning (Sunday). As the night progressed, my dog's condition improved. She ate and drank and was back to her normal self. Still, I wanted her to be seen by a vet. Dr. Weinberg arrived 20 minutes early for our appointment and stayed for 45 minutes. He checked my dog from nose to tail and declared her to be in excellent health. In the end, we don't know what caused her lethargy and lack of interest in life. We theorize that she was depressed because my husband was out of town for a couple of days. Dr. Weinberg is knowledgeable, gentle, and very competent. I am relieved that I now have a local vet that I can call anytime for advice and help if my dog becomes out-of-sorts again. Five (5) Stars!

Our girl Angie had been sick, diarrhea, seemed to be better and then, Sunday, took a turn for the worse, very concerning and on the wrong day of the week.. Worried that she could go downhill fast and also about having to move her and, fortunately found Dr. Weinberg via Google. Very professional and knowledgeable, patient and explained everything very well, took his time and left our girl feeling better and us very relieved. And less cost than the last sick vet trip. Highly recommended!

I've waited to share our experience with Dr. Weinberg since April.
5 months ago Dr. Weinberg came to our house to euthanize our pet. He came in and looked at our dog then explained that he would first give a tranquilizer then perform the euthanasia. He had the first injection and without warning as our dog was walking across the floor gave the injection in his back leg. If I hadn't been following my dog he would've collapsed onto the hard floor. I caught my pet and carried him to his bed. a few minutes passed and Dr. Weinberg administered the Euthasol into his front leg. He said it will just be a minute. As we were sitting around our pup watching, waiting, crying Dr. Weinberg's cell phone rings. He proceeds to talk to a client in front of us! I must add that I've witnessed this procedure 8 times before. A few minutes pass....our dogs heart is still beating. Clear as day. My hand is on it. I'm watching it.
Dr. Weinberg says Hmmmmm.....I'm going to give him another injection. He does. In his front leg again. We are watching.............I am watching. My hand still on my dogs heart. Again, we wait a few minutes. His heart still beating. I'm trying to keep it together knowing that is going as it should. Our family is in agony. His phone rings again.
Dr. Weinberg then proceeds to give a 3rd injection but, this time he places the needle into our dogs chest. I know what he's doing I've seen it.......I look at him in disbelief. Again our dogs heart continues to beat.
Dr. weinberg then must go to his van to get more Euthasol.
When he comes back he uses his stethoscope to listen. I point to our pets heart and he administers a 4th injection. Finally our pet was at peace.
I could not believe what I had just witnessed.
Dr. Weinberg then looked at our other dog and said she had a heart condition.
He required immediate payment. He charged us $500.00. I questioned him. Later he said he charges people based on what he thinks they afford. There were other things but, I think this is enough.......

I still think about that day. It was "THE WORST" veterinary experience I've ever witnessed. I hope no one goes through what our family went through that day.

Doctor Weinberg came to our home to this morning and help us Let go of our beloved 16 year old dog. He was God-sent to us we have no children and it was at peace for everyone.. Highly recommended for emergency care.
