I came in today for an annual check up for my older chihuahua, but unfortunately they found that she had pyometra. This entire staff was so caring for her and immediately took care of her. This was easily the most stressful day of my life, and this staff made sure to take care of my pup. She came home the same day and is resting. They even stayed after hours a little to ensure she was going home safely.

This staff is incredible. Thank you for answering all the calls I made while she was under and thank you for being the best! She will definitely be coming back regularly

I just felt compelled to write a review for this great clinic and its staff. We do not think of writing a review for just everyday experiences with our pets. Well I just had to experience one of the hardest things in my life by making a decision to let my precious boy go due to the findings of metastatic cancer. What a heart wrenching experience that just came on so fast. Dr. Colton made SURE that my boy was comfortable and was so respectful of him and the agony I was experiencing. She and her assistant went above and beyond while dealing with their emotion of the situation. See my boy impacted people with his gentle soul so his loss was impactful. I had him cremated. Yesterday I had to pick up his ashes from the clinic which just reopened the wound of such pure heart break! Again, they were so kind and compassionate. I expected a pretty hefty bill due to how Dr. Colton took such personal time and care with the day I had to let Diesel go along with the cremation. Dr. Colton charged me NOTHING for that day!! I paid the bill for the cremation only. The cremation package was such a precious gift that came with his ashes while also being so painful. The clinic sent a sympathy card which everyone had written a note along with my sweet boy's paw prints. It is great to find a clinic that you can take your sweet babies to for their care but to find one that performed such as this one did when finding myself in one of the worst places of my life, that is priceless and deserving of recognition. What a compassionate group and Dr. Colton was always honest about the circumstance and respectful of my decisions through the process. Thank you Island Animal Hospital on Cocoa Beach for your kindness to my precious boy and memorializing his life!

Words cannot describe how great the staff is at Island Animal Hospital. They have gone above and beyond to care for my dog. I brought my 7 y/o French Bulldog in to see Dr. Ballard, however my dog isn’t the most cooperative patient. Despite any difficulty, they made sure my dog got the care he needed. Thank you for all that you do.

They fit us in because my dog’s breeder called to get us in, because I sensed something was wrong, and my dog’s own vet told us they couldn’t see us for weeks. Island in Cocoa Beach fit us in for an ultrasound, where Dr. Ballard didn’t find a pregnancy, but fluid that ended up being a life-threatening uterine infection. He then operated on her emergently the next morning. Dr. Ballard and the staff are
fantastic and this practice cares about animals even if it is not an established patient. I recommend them highly.

The hardest thing you have to do owning a pet is saying goodbye. Dr. Ballard and His Amazing Staff made this whole process so much nicer than it could have ever been.

Thank you so much to Island Animal Hospital and staff for all the kind words and everything over the last 10 years with my adopted boy Toby. We’ve been through a lot together. I wanted Toby’s goodbye to be as kind, loving and sweet as he was and they did not disappoint.

Kind, caring and compassionate are the first things that come to mind! Absolutely incredible vet, Dr. Ballard, the techs and the staff were so awesome! They got me in immediately to have my cat seen, explained everything in depth and treated him with love and caring. Highly recommend this is the best vet in Brevard County!
