Been taking Riley here for years. They are kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. During a routine teeth cleaning, they found a melanoma (who knew they grow most commonly inside a dog's mouth), which undoubtedly saved his life (these are incredibly aggressive and deadly). Due to their attention to detail we were able to get Riley surgery early on and add time to his precious life.

Several friends also take their dogs here, and they all report similar positive feedback.

I took my late cat, Mama, to JAC a couple of times after moving to the area. One time was for a check up on her tumor that had been growing and one time to say goodbye to her and help her cross the rainbow bridge when her condition worsened. Dr. Bolinger provided valuable insight on her condition and was very compassionate and gentle during both visits. The techs were also very nice and empathetic especially during the day we said goodbye to Mama. Thank you all. Mama and I are both grateful for your nice treatment.

While this place may be ok for wellness visits, stay far away if your dog is seriously ill, old, or end of life. They are callously and obviously in it for the money and the healthcare they provide is negligent.

I regret switching to this practice, but our dog has always been healthy and it was close to our house so we thought we’d go for it. We brought our dog in for a limp. They do the exams in another room, which I’ve never before seen. They said she had a sprain and sent her home with pain medicine.

Her limp only got worse so we took her to a dog chiropractor who immediately felt masses under her armpit and along her ribs.

We asked the vet if they did a physical exam, and if so how they missed masses under the exact arm on which she was limping,and they said “oh with large dogs sometimes they’re hard to feel.”

They had us come back in and instead of doing the physical exam with us, they had us leave her for “observation” and a “recheck” — thus began the moneygrubbing. I can’t imagine charging someone for a recheck for something THEY missed. And there was no need to have her observed - other than getting to charge us for that, too.

Anyway, they called to say that they felt the mass and she needs an xray to determine if it’s cancer. Our dog was a giant breed 11 year old - they said they could only do the xray under anesthesia. We told them we’ve had her since she was a baby, she is gentle, can they please try to do it without the risk of anesthesia, and they refused. Moneygrubbing part two - and as soon as I told the next vet we went to what Jefferson Animal Clinic was doing, they got us in immediately AND did the xray with no sedation.

Most egregiously and heartbreaking, my husband called them on our dog’s last day and told them we were having trouble managing her pain, and can they please call us back to see if there are any other options, because we were facing having to put her down otherwise. We never heard back.

Look, they have a gorgeous new building. They have a fishtank built into theirfront desk. They have lots of marketing stuff they send home with you — pens, magnets, etc. It’s clear to me that they are trying to pay for all of this by overcharging at every turn. Their complete lack of compassion, as well as their subpar “exam” (which we of course paid far more for than any other vet we’ve ever visited before) are unforgivable.

I’m grateful we found another practice to help us get answers and make the hard decisions we had to make. I wouldn’t wish the experience we had with this office on anyone who is dealing with the heartbreak of a very sick pet.

We had all fir animals in at the same time . Our dog, Shine, and the two cats were in for exams. One of the cats also had her teeth checked after a double root canal procedure in January. Finally, our other dog, Sienna, was in for Heartworm check and vaccine. While we were there the tech was able to express her anal glands as she had recently been showing signs of needing this - THANKFULLY, this allowed us to NOT have to take her back later to get this done! THANK YOU!!!

Dr Jennifer is very kind and approachable.
Which I appreciate so much. We’ve had other vets where they are very serious and not friendly. I’d recommend her to others for sure. She is also great with our kitties!

I would like to share my very beautiful and kind experience I had with Jefferson animal clinic.i had to put my dog down a week ago and GOD led me there even though I live in northglenn. They made a very painful experience, the best case scenario. I would recommend them for their professionalism, compitence and above all their extreme compassion they showed me and my furry friend Scotty. I can't say enough good things about this business, if I could give more than 5 stars I would.
