Shawn at JST auto is one of the best and honest mechanics I’ve known for years. He won’t give you the run around. He will let you know what it’s gonna take to get your car running and will go above and beyond to get any work done right, this is a genius mechanic you can’t trust and I don’t use the word genius freely.

On a road trip moving across the country, our brake pads burnt out and rubbed metal-on-metal with the rotor. We realized the problem on Sunday, and J.S.T was the only shop open. Talk about universal alignment, because Shawn at J.S.T was probably the best person that could’ve helped us. We took the car in, and Shawn - although it was technically his day off and time to catch up on other work - took our car in and fixed it same-day. Shawn is honest and stands behind his work, with good reason. He finished our brakes hours before any of us thought he would, and he made sure we had quality materials and care without getting raked over the coals with pricing. Shawn honestly just provided what could possibly be the best mechanic experience we’ve had in our lives so far, and even though we’re moving to a different city, we’ll probably come back to Shawn and J.S.T for future “big” car fix needs.

The most unprofessional person I've ever worked with. I went to his place of work on 4/20/2024 to get my car checked out, and when I came back he was working on his friends car and had me waiting until 9:30 pm to simply look at what was wrong. He started the work about a week later when he FINALLY GOT BACK TO ME (with many lame excuses along the way for almost no communication) He hasn't given back the spare key to my vehicle that he never left where he said he would, and when it was "time" to continue the work he texts me in the middle of the night telling me to come in THAT MORNING!!! Mind you I was a day away from a cross country move that he was made aware of so I was unable to change around such vital plans on short notice so I had to drive ALL THE WAY TO TEXAS WITHOUT WORKING WINDOWS!

He's never at his place of business, and despite what the other reviews say, he may seem friendly and honest, but my experience was far from that!!!! He doesn't answer any calls or texts unless he feels like it, and hasn't given my money back for missing parts and labor that he sent me the entire bill for up front!!!!!! Taking Shawn to court if I don't get my money back!

In Glenwood Springs I choose J.S.T. Auto after I tried several local shops as well as the dealer. All of them were simply uninterested in repairing the brakes on my Suburban. No profit in that. Finally, I found Shawn and what a difference. He spend the time to diagnose the problem and to repair it rather than to rebuild the truck. Shawn Thanks for a job well done.

Shawn replaced the clutch in my 2011 Outback. He had it done on time and for less than the original quote. He even took the time to make videos of how the clutch and flywheel components interact and what had gone wrong with mine. Best experience I’ve had with a mechanic in a long time! After a disaster oil change on my 04 Subaru XT, Sean was able to figure out the issue in a week (a very random and odd thing that had happened when the previous oil change people were digging around in my car). Sean explained all of the work he did and his process, and got my car squared away. He was also very conscientious of cost, and didn’t perform additional work that would’ve racked up the total cost for the visit. Glad to find a local I can trust with my forester, thank you!

I had taken my Volvo in to another shop in the valley and the prices seemed very high. Needed a EVAP valve replaced and an oil change and it was well over $500, plus I was charged $75 for a diagnostic test. I called JST Auto and talked to Shawn and he did all of the above,replaced my battery, fixed some other minor issues all for $450. He has a fair hourly shop rate and my car is running great now. He works on all different types of cars and I would highly recommend using them.
