Yesterday evening, I brought my kitty to the clinic because he was extremely lethargic and couldn’t stop vomiting, which had me very concerned. With many clinics already closed for the day, I was worried about not being able to have him seen until the morning. I was incredibly grateful that they were able to accommodate him on such short notice. The staff we interacted with were exceptionally friendly and provided excellent care throughout the visit. Today, he is doing much better, and I truly appreciated the follow-up call this morning to check on his progress.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Lum, Dr. Sin and the staff at Kaimuki Vet Urgent Care. When faced with uncertain outcomes and tough decisions, they guided us thoroughly and patiently through the process of having to put to sleep our sweet, 12 year old pup, Wilson. Every encounter with the staff was so kind and caring, noting attention to both our needs and Wilson’s. Thank you so much, Kaimuki Vet Urgent Care for the great care not only during but after the loss our pet (yes - they even sent a signed sympathy card in the mail). We highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for great veterinary care!

Traveling with my pets, our poodle got a leg limping. We went to see them, accepting walk in, took good care of our boy. Explained the situation very clearly and recommended course of action

I found this place through my pets insurance, Trupanion. It was eerily quiet for the day before a holiday, there was only one other person there. I took my dog for diareah. They had me waiting for almost an hour, then saw her and gave her probiotics. I asked for a fecal test, which is what another vet had done previously, to take the guesswork out and be sure of what she had, but they told me they couldn’t do it. Weird, but ok.

Then came payment time. They had trupanion brochures RIGHT THERE saying they were “trupanion partners” - see posted pic of brochures. The idea is you give them your membership number and then move on. However, they had a “problem with the system.” I patiently waited without saying a peep for a whole extra hour, until I got tired of waiting and asked if I could go. They told me that this would constitute theft. “Excuse me?!” Theft? Because it takes you one hour to process payment?! I asked them why they weren’t on the phone to call the insurance company and sort it out proactively but they said gave me the “5 more minutes” runaround over and over. Let me mention again, there were no other pets the whole time I was there, it was eerily quiet. There’s something way off about this place.

My boss called me twice asking why I was late to work, I tried to explain to the vet I had to go. After back and forth, they finally told me, “your bill is personally covered by me” and I said thank you and walked out and went to work.

Several days later they’re calling me telling me I need to pay, despite them telling me they were going to cover my bill!

I didn’t leave a review until now because I figured, hey, they realized they messed up, wasted my time, were rude, but they took care of the bill so let’s let it be. Apparently not, so here’s a review with my experience so other people know to avoid this place at all cost! $425 btw for a disregard check up and some probiotics. Insane pricing, terrible service, and sassy, unpleasant people working at the front desk. It’s all about the money and they don’t care about the pets wellbeing. Disappointing.

It was about 6pm one evening, when a friend called about a puppy that had been hit by a car. I knew I couldn't afford VERC and most other vet clinics in the area were already closed for the day. But fortunately, Kaimuki Veterinary Urgent Care wasn't. She stayed there three nights recovering from her injuries. Dr. Sin kept me updated every day, and when she wasn't working, Dr. Lum called me. I can say, without a doubt, that Kala wouldn't have made it that night without their care.

Hopefully, it was just a bad seed. However, the rudeness, false assumptions and unprofessional attitude from Kamaka is appalling from a place that the community calls for help. Hopefully everyone else in the office has compassion- as of right now one star is appropriate.

Had to bring my family member's cat here because of a medical emergency on a Sunday night and was met with very friendly staff. The doctor is thorough in treatment plans and what our best options were

I didn't get to go in and see these people. My cat co-parent was the one doing the leg work. But wow, they saved my kittie's life. And they helped us connect with agencies that could help with financing, knowing the cat needed to stay an extra night. I'm incredibly grateful to them for genuinely caring for the health of my furry loved one. I feel terrible that we might go to collections, but if so, it'll be the only bill in collections that I'm actually going to pay, no question.
