This was my first time taking my pets to Dr. Grimm. He seems to actually care for the animals he sees and makes sure to gather all the info he can to determine the issue. My 9 mo old bully is very outgoing and energetic but he handled him very well and was very patient with him. This is DEFINITELY the vet I'll be keeping for ALL of my fur babies. I used to go to the vet in Gas City but this one is hands down way better, he seems to care more for my baby. Now time to book more appointments for the others.

This place and the people there have been a god send for us and our baby Millie. We adopted her roughly 3 1/2 months ago and after the first week, she was continually suffering from seperation anxiety so bad that she was having stress colitis everytime we left for work. We were very close to giving up on her before we found this place. They were EXTREMELY caring and helpful and even checked in on Millie the day after we visited them. The medication they gave us to help with the anxiety has completely turned things around for our sweet girl and she is handling us being gone for work, absolutelt great compared to what was going on before. We initially went to the VCA hospital for her free exam when we adopted her from the Animal Protection League in Anderson, and they were very pushy and threw a bill in our face almost immediately and could tell they just wanted the $ and couldnt care less about the well being of our dog. They would not prescribe her meds even after us going back in for a second visit and it was a horrendous experience that I would not wish on anybody. Their prices are completely rediculous and I dont understand how they can sleep at night knowing what they are doing to people in need of help with their animals. Kem Road has some of the best most resonable prices compared to what we were used to paying from VCA. We both were shocked at how cheap it was coming from the prices of what we had paid previously. I cannot reccomend this place enough. We have finally found our vet that we will be returning to for anything in the future. Thank you so much guys!!

Yesterday was our first experience with this clinic, and I was so impressed with them! We missed our appointment due to a flat tire but they still made time to see my daughter's sick kitten-- we were the last appointment of the day but they listened to all of her questions and didn't rush her or brush her off because she was a child. All of the staff was very kind. Thank you for going above and beyond.

Brought my dog here cause she got a hematoma. Vet said she would need surgery gave us a price seemed a little high but would do anything to get her better. They asked us to bring her in a few days before cause they needed to draw some blood. We brought her in and got her blood drawn and they had her down a few days later to get fixed and not for her hematoma. My dog is 6 and has been fixed for 5 years. So we told them that isn’t right annd they fixed it. We agreed that during the surgery if they had do something else to call us and ask us before they did it. They called me and told me she was ready to be picked up and that they didn’t have to do the surgery just had to put an ear canola. Did not call us and ask permission. Went in and picked her up seemed fine had to wear a cone for 10-14 days and to bring her back to take the canola out in 2 weeks. The two weeks went and we brought her in, they took her back and brought her out with her ear bloody and told me to keep wiping it and it would drain the rest of the way. It looked like they didn’t wipe it or clean it or anything really just looked like they took it out and sent her on her way. Brought her home and every time I wiped her ear barely any blood was coming out. 2 days later her ear scabbed up and was filled with blood again. Called them again and told them about it and the lady who answered the phone was very rude but said we could bring her in that day brought her in and the front desk lady had an attitude and asked if we were squeezing her ear to get some of the blood out. I said no I wasn’t told to do that only to wipe it and it would drain on its own. When we went back the vet told us that it was filled back up and that they would try to pick the scab to open it up again. They took her back and not even 5 min later brought her back and said she wouldn’t let them get close to her ear. They told us that we could take her home and try to pick it out selfs or call and set her up another appointment to get it drained. We said we would just take her home and try to pick it out self. We was able to pick the scab but the hole where the ear canola was was already closed. 2 days later it’s back to the way it was before I took her. Spent 700 dollars basically for her to be traumatized and not fix the problem. Have always taken all my dogs here but after this will never go back or recommend.

Went there today because my normal vet is out of office. Was scheduled for just yearly vaccines. The staff is amazing. For context here, my normal vet who does the exact same vaccines and exam, I personal know and have been a vet for going on 30 years. Normal vet charges about $50 for vaccines, all three. Today, for three vaccines I paid $177. Huge difference, for the exact same care, also vet assistant was trying his hardest to up sale me to other care packages that was upwards to $500. When I told him I wasn’t interested he kind of just made a weird face. I understand he has a job, but the job description doesn’t say to be belittling the pet parents. I was satisfied with the care today. But the sticker shock is huge, I hate to label this as robbing people blind, but they really are. Dr. Grimm was amazing, very kind and I could tell he loved and cared for animals. Vet assistant needs to work on his compassion and empathy. Also, the walls are thin, not an issue with other dogs barks or whimpering or cats meowing. Thin walls don’t hide attitude or belittling comments. Again vet assistant I had today needs to be trained more properly. The vet world is a sensitive place, compassion and empathy are a must. Just be warned about the huge sticker shock for just three vaccines.

We had a fur baby that had her time blessing this world with her presence cut short due to a brain tumor. This was a brutally crushing experience. This team helped us through the process with the utmost care and compassion. I can't thank them enough.

Rescued a kitty from my porch, called and was able to get in right after work. Kitty is very happy to be indoor and not freezing.
Update. Kitten was just fixed at Kem. They have been wonderful in helping me care for my Romeo

I'm very disappointed in the vet hospital this past year or 2!! My mom took her cat to get a growth removed off her face and my mom over heard the vet telling other staff "why does she want that removed. The cat's really old anyways"

Then a friend took her cat there after hurting himself and broke a leg and my friend over heard the vet and staff talking about and how she's "too young to own a cat anyway" (like she could of stopped her cat from injuring itself if my friend were older 🤦🏼‍♀️ and she's 23.
I called in 1 time asked them about flea treatments for my pet and the lady I talked to was SO rude to me!! She rudely told me my pets needed to be seen before they would let me buy any flea treatments. And that's fine but why be so rude about it!?
There are some very nice sweet staff but over all how, me, friends and family have been treated we will be switching vets!! And that was just some of the many things that have upset us about this place!

Just an FYI, Kim road animal hospital, your walls are thin there and we hear all your rude comments!
