Would not go anywhere else even though there are other veterinarians closer to my home. Definitely recommend kenai veterinary hospital to take care of your fur baby.

My 7 month old golden doodle required emergency surgery. The staff was professional, caring, and efficient. They took good care of Winston who made a complete recovery. I won’t go anywhere else. Trust Kenai veterinary with all my pets.

Tuesday, June 4th was the hardest day of my life. Can't describe the pain I went through knowing that I would have to put my dog to sleep. My April was a year old when I adopted her. I lived in Douglas, Arizona with a boyfriend who was not perfect for me. He brought me to 8 acres that he purchased, hoping I'd spend my life with him. We found kittens in a truck and brought them into the dog pound. They presented me with a severely tick infested little white mixed breed. She was covered and had a bad case of kennel cough. I asked the veterinary tech why they didn't get rid of the kennel cough and they said there was no use when all these dogs eventually got euthanized.

Frustrated and not wanting to adopt a dog at that time, I paid her fees, had her fixed, and dipped. A few days later I brought her home. She was so scared and so timid. I knew at that time it was going to be my job to make sure she never wanted for anything. I made all her meals and made sure to take her to work every chance I got. She went everywhere with me. She traveled to 35 states, and eventually settled with me here in Alaska. She lived with me for 19 years.

So, last Tuesday was the hardest day of my life. April's legs failed on Sunday, and she couldn't stand on Monday. I knew I had to make that fateful decision.

The receptionist, the one that sat on the right, was the loveliest person ever. She was kind and gentle and even gave me a hug. The veterinarian, I don't remember her name, she was very young and I was kind of surprised that she was a veterinarian at that age. But I gave her the respect due and she was thorough and gentle when she took my girl away. This was hard, but also a good day to meet your wonderful staff. The card I received today made me cry all over again. I think about my girl every day and will for the rest of my life.

PS They only charged me for euthanasia and disposal. It was nice not being price gouged. I didn't have much money in my bank account, but I had enough to help April.

From the moment we walked in the door it was a wonderful experience. The front desk personnel greeted us and started helping immediately. We were called to the back and the vet Emilie Ficek came in shortly after. She was kind and concerned about my puppy and treated him like he was hers. She was very thorough with her exam and explained everything. We are very thankful we found this vet clinic. The whole experience was amazing. Kudos and thank you to Kenai Veterinary Hospital.

I have nothing but good things to say about this clinic and everyone who works there. I recently had several visits during my cat's end of life, and the desk staff were always incredibly kind and accommodating. Due to some emergency appointments I had met will all three vets, and Curt, Emillie and Patrick were all extremely compassionate, knowledgeable and professional. Emillie performed an in-home euthenasia which was as gentle and caring as any pet parent could ever hope for, and I am so incredibly grateful. I cannot thank this clinic enough for the services they provided during one of the hardest times of my life.

Dr. Patrick was the vet that helped us put our beloved Milo down last summer and he was so kind and helpful. I truly felt he cared for our family and our loss. Recently we brought our new pup Thor in and he took the time to discuss his diet, health concerns ect. He was very knowledgeable. Happy to have a vet that takes the time to discuss the care of our furry family member. Highly recommend Dr. Patrick. Also the front desk is very welcoming.

I don't know why Kenai Veterinary Hospital continues to see my Bichon, Freddie. He is absolutely vicious during examinations and it always takes more than the vet to control him. On one occasion there were four keeping him under control. I am forever grateful for their patience with Freddie.
