I've been taking my dog (and recently cats) here for ten years. Dr. Maendl is so attentive and gentle with them. I love how he explains everything as he's examining them. He always follows up by phone when he says he will. Yes, it's a little pricey, but it's worth it to know that no shortcuts are being taken. And I've never felt like he's upselling me for no reason.

They do have limited hours and see pets by appointment only, so be prepared for that.

Was at the vets on October 31, with my precious MeMe for routine claw clipping when I brought up possible eye issue of concern. Although the Doctor is very busy and this was not expected issue, he took ample time to exam MeMe's eyes and did find issue, taking more time to treat her and explain in detail situation. He was totally gentle with scared MeMe settling her right time with is sincere KINDNESS. Thank you Doctor, for being you. I am grateful for having you as MeMe's Doctor and completely trust her in your care. K(receptionist) thank you for your warm, loving welcome the dogs sense and tails wag.
You are meant to be there.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Kindness use to be a great animal hospital, but now all the people that work there are nothing but rude. I made an appointment for my cat who they have seen before but told be they don't have record of him then told me they aren't taking new customers. They ended up scheduling him after I have said they have seen all my other animals. Got a time and I asked if my husband drops him off can my mom pick him up. They said yes, but then told my husband they don't do drop offs. Next I tried to get my dog who has cancer (they were the first to diagnose it about 6 months ago) a refill on his medicine, but they said they won't do that until he has been seen again and hung up on me. So I called back to see if I could get an appointment for him and they said they are booked out a week.
I have been going there for well over 10 years for my small animals, but will never go back or refer anyone to them. Worst place to take your animals.

We brought in a dog that had been hit by a car. Because the owners weren't home and we didn't know how to contact them, they turned us away because they weren't sure if someone could pay for it. The dog was dying. They didn't care, they wouldn't even see her. If you don't care about animals, don't be a vet. The dog, to my knowledge lived, thanks to the Humane Society and another vet in Meridian. The owners were with her. I'm not sure if she's still alive, but she was the last time I heard. But this place was horrible. Bring your business somewhere where they actually care.

EDIT: I found out that the dog survived, thanks to the Humane Society! She is doing well and while she's a little bit different now, but she's alive and very happy.

I think I am done with this veterinarian! Every time I call to get an animal treated for ANYTHING more than yearly shots I get the same answer..."Oh, that is serious, you need to get that treated right away, and we are booked up until next week." ALWAYS the same answer...I've called 3 separate times in a 7 month period for different issues and received the exact same response.
I also have an extremely hard time reaching them, they are available, maybe 20 hours a week...at best!
Also, the person that I speak to (the same one each time), is very rude and abrupt, and just doesn't want to explain anything, just transfer you off to another place. I don't know if Kindness understands, I am an existing customer, not new, I have to get my animals to be seen for an issue that can easily be solved with medication, but if I go to an emergency clinic I am being charged 200-300 more just as an emergency fee. I can't get into another practice at all as most vets aren't taking new patients, so I'm stuck paying $600 (2 animals at 300 each) just to get a pills or a cream or fluid to address the issue which is no more than $30-50 total!
I urge anyone who is trying to find a veterinarian to go to, stay away from Kindness, their name is NOT indicative of their TERRIBLE service!
