I just wanted to say that I love taking my dogs to Lake City AH. The staff is always so pleasant and helpful. I have been really impressed with the care and attention they show to everyone.
Dr. Fellows has been wonderful and I am so happy to have found a vet that I feel really cares about my dogs.

My dog has gotten himself into so much trouble this year, and every time Dr. Holland, Haley and the rest of the staff at Lake City Animal hospital have been phenomenal. They have been able to see him quickly every time he’s needed attention and despite all the poking, ear cleanings, and medication they’ve given him, he still loves everyone there. I appreciate the follow-up calls to check in and all of the extra advice they’ve given me on phone calls.

I want to thank the staff at Lake City Animal Hospital. They showed compassion and empathy with an emergency for my 18 year old cat. The day I was supposed to take a flight at 6 am, I woke up to a geriatric cat that was not feeling well. He was lethargic and dehydrated and overall miserable. Was it time to make the decision to let him go or did he just need some medical intervention to make him feel better? I was able to reserve a later flight but I did not want to leave him suffering and I really didn't want to make the decision in a rush. My regular vet would not help me; they did refer me to Lake City. Thank God they did. The office staff understood the urgency of my need and worked me in first thing. I know my emergency impacted their schedule for other clients but they did not make me feel bad for the interruption. I was an emotional crying mess when I brought Bubba in. They immediately took us into an exam room instead of having to wait in a very full lobby. Bubba was examined and given medication and fluids. My consultation with the vet confirmed Bubba was at the end of his life but I did not have to make the hard decision that day. I could make my flight and basically leave Bubba in what my husband and I called "hospice" at home. Everyone at Lake City showed sensitivity and grace towards me and my pet. When I returned from my trip, I had a couple of more days with Bubba before we made an appointment with an in-home pet euthanasia service. Lake City Animal Hospital - thank you, thank you, thank you for your willingness to help me and my sweet cat at a very dark time.

I have taken both my dog and 2 cats to this vet for various reasons and loved it. The staff is nice and make you feel like your pets are truly cared for. I have had both Dr. Carmichael and Dr. Holland for different appointments with my pets and both of them were very knowledgeable, caring, and kind. Your pets are in great hands here! We also board our dog here and he always seems happy.

Our dog had an emergency today. They were booked and couldn’t squeeze her in, which happens and is a little understandable. We find an emergency vet that can see her and when they requested to our dogs records, they had an excuse that they need 24 hours to send them and no one even said that until the 4th time they were contacted. Unacceptable. What’s even worse is that the new vet discovered a stage 3 heart murmur that should’ve been caught by Lake City. This used to be such an awesome place to take our girl, but now, I’m not so sure.

Thank you to Hope 1 and Hope 2 for their care, compassion and concern for our cat Luna when she ate something she shouldn’t have and ended having surgery to remove it. Our family is grateful for the care Luna received from the Hope’s and Dr Holland and Dr Hembree.

I have used Lake City for the past 3 years but unfortunately I won't be going back.
First, there are maybe 3 women at the front desk who aren't rude.
Second, be prepared to stand at the desk for at least 20 minutes any time you go in. This includes pickup, and drop off.
Third, they will do heartworm tests without asking and then charge you for the test.. This has happened twice and once I specifically asked them not to do the heartworm test and they did it anyway and charged me.
Fourth, they recently hired a new groomer. I took my yorkie mix in for a groom and when my husband broght him home it looked like a 5 year old gave him a haircut. I called to discuss this and a supervisor offered to refund the cost of the groom, and have a different groomer try to fix it, free of charge at Acworth Animal Hospital. I agreed and took him with me on the way to my doctor appointment the next day. When I arrived they told me they would try to correct it but I would have to pay. I left with my dog, called Lake City and told them Acworth tried to charge me and all they did was apologize. Because I was expecting to leave him for the correction, I had no one to stay with him with while I went to the doctor so I had to call my husband to meet me in town to pick him up. I was 30 minutes late for my appointment because of Lake City.

The doctors are good but it's just not worth the hassle dealing with the rest of their staff.
