I had to euthanize my cat, and this group of professionals was very empathetic and gentle and explained everything as it was happening. I made the right choice. She had a good 22 years on an organic farm with two wonderful women, first my mom, and then me.

They seem to be all about the money and no one seems to know whats going on. Second to last time I was in there the vaccines my dog "needed and / or were strongly encouraged" changed 3 times. Convincing your dog may have this, better do this as a precaution, bring them back in x amount of weeks etc. I'm glad I trusted my gut and switched vets. Not to mention "accepting new patients" is always on the outdoor billboard sign... red flag. On a positive note Nicole at the front desk is awesome!

Zero stars!! I have been going to this vet for over 3 years. I found them when I was an emotional mess over the health of a senior cat. She lived with a broken tooth over a decade, they pulled it and ultimately that was the beginning of her end.
I have 4 rescue cats now that I have been taking them for yearly checkups. I always felt this place was expensive but the inconvenience of finding a new vet for my cats to acclimate to keep me coming back.

Two of my cats were suggested to have their teeth cleaned both under 5. The first cat I took did have a broken tooth they suggested pull it along with 2 others. I went with it.

Next cat I had been complaining about bad breath for years finally over the summer at his checkup they suggested dental cleaning, but to wait until January when dental is 10percent off.
I waited for January just for them to tell me he has been in pain and they need to pull 2 teeth. Again I went with it over 1200 spent for a discount of 29.50. Very disappointed in this place. Not to mention Dr. Payne is just that a pain for the animals. My cats were terrified being there and he’s carrying on with his loud voice unconcerned over my cats fear.
This place is a scam for people who love their pets like children. I believe they have taken advantage of me for years.
Posting pictures for all I know this wasn’t even my cats mouth.
All the vet techs were all very kind along with Dr. Cunningham no disrespect to them.

I am so grateful for Lakeland Animal Care. They are the first vet who has ever keep my old lady kitty for a few extra hours after surgery. She gets really loopy and crazy. I so appreciate the care they took in noticing that she doesn't calm down on meds and keeping her for a bit of extra time to make sure she was stable. They noticed a lump that we needed to have checked out. Every employee has understood how much I love my cat and has shown great care for her.

Their prices are very reasonable. I'm so happy with them that I will be getting all of my pets treated here.

We brought our 2 senior dogs in who were having health issues. The staff was all so amazing and informative. We ended up putting one of our dogs to sleep and they were unbelievably kind.

I noticed my 5 year old cat was not eating and naturally called the vet. Took her in on a Wednesday. They did the check up and then told me she probably had cancer and threw a $1100 bill at me for “starters”. I requested we break it up into pieces as I couldn’t do $1100 at that moment.. so we did bloodwork. A small panel of blood work that supposedly would give answers. It gave nothing. 0 answers. $380 for a check up and small panel of bloodwork. Off of that alone- I chose to take my animal to another vet. They did not check if she was dehydrated or anything. Once I mentioned I would probably be taking her else where they just kind of shut down on me and offered nothing else for my cat. Cool. Good. Great. Shows how much you really care for animals!! Mind you she’s been a patient at Lakeland for almost 4 years so they’re very familiar with her…. Get her to Dr. Weldy’s the same week on Friday in wakarusa to find out my cat is SEVERELY dehydrated!! So they give her fluids and a b12 shot and offered to do a much LARGER blood panel then sent us home with antibiotics just in case she had an infection. In total the check up, fluids, and medicine was $360. They did 10x more and I walked out paying $20 less. If you like going somewhere where they care more about racking a bill up instead of what’s actually wrong with your pet this is the PERFECT place for you!! My cat instantly felt better when we got home on Friday. Save your money. Go somewhere else… Unless you like paying $1000 every time you go to the vet and they think something is wrong with your animal. They told me $1100 and I got everything done for $400. With far more answers and my cat feeling 20x better.

Just took my cat for his first visit with Dr. Payne and staff. They got him on the schedule right away. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. I could tell they're doing this because of their genuine care for animals. I was given multiple options for treatment plans for my cat that were actually affordable and never felt pressured or guilted into a sale. Dr. Payne was very knowledgeable and took his time answering all of my questions. He had excellent bedside manner and informed me completely of all of my cat's diagnosis that previous vets did not care to explain to me. Thanks Dr. Payne and staff. We hope to see you soon!

5.2.24 The Vets and helpers are spot on. They bent over to meet my needs and my dog came through surgery with no issues. Thanks to the surgery team at Lakeland. Especially Kasha Vet Nurse is not picture just Dr. POOL and Dr. Cunningham with my dog Gunner. Thanks Lakeland Veterinary Clinic of Granger on Fir and 23. You know having a smooth front office is a tough job too and the office staff handles well. Thanks very nice job all the way start to finish.
