I had to euthanize my beloved Jess due to behavioral reasons. I had made an appointment with another provider after I had called lap. Of love. The person I spoke with was very kind, compassionate, listened to my whole story, cared about me, supported me. Even though my home euthanasia was with another provider, they still had a Dr. call me, who did the same thing. And after hearing the whole story supported my decision. They also followed up, and provided referrals for grief counseling and support groups for BE. I know in my heart, with the support of Lap of Love made the right decision, though, for my heart was the hardest decision of my life. I can’t say enough about them. Thank you so much!

I have never felt as compelled to write a positive review as I do about Lap of Love. From the moment they picked up the phone to the moment they left with my sweet Bruno, I felt the utmost compassion, empathy, and care. The pacing of the procedure was long enough for me to honor Bruno’s life but did not linger. The vet, Billy Cole, walked me through everything, validated my emotions, and assured me that what I was doing was selfless and the best thing for Bruno for where he was in his long and otherwise happy life. I will treasure the molding they took of his paw forever. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

It’s been 2.5 years since Dr. Susan from Lap of Love came to my home to help my sweet pup Charlie cross the rainbow bridge. I cannot thank Dr. Susan and everyone I spoke to at Lap of Love for their kindness and compassion. I was in tears each time I called to schedule (and reschedule), and the rep was so patient and caring. Dr. Susan talked and walked me through the hardest day of my life, gave Charlie the most love, was tender and patient through the process, and even helped us laugh a little between our tears. I’m crying now thinking back on it. So grateful for Lap of Love. What a shining example of how wonderful we can all be when we lead with our hearts.

Following several weeks of Vet visits and tests we had to say goodbye to our family member Zeus this past weekend.

We decided to have an at home vet come to our home so he could be in a familiar space and surrounded by the ones he knew and loved.

After going through several other choices, we opted to go with Lap of Love. I am forever grateful that we did. From the initial call all the way through the home visit they were nothing short of amazing. They answered all questions, provided great information and made us feel very well informed as to how the process would go. With that we set the appointment.

The vet called as they were on their way giving us ample time to prepare our home and family. Once she arrived, she sat down with all of us and went over what was going to happen, how it was going to happen and what we could or should expect. Equally as important was that she also was able and willing to answer any and all question that we had. Following that she spent time with Zeus petting him and talking to him, making him as well as us feel comfortable with her.

She then allowed us to spend some time with him and say our farewells as she started the process of sending him over the rainbow bridge. We were with every step of the way.

From start to finish, she was kind, caring, professional and most of all compassionate.

After he crossed over we were able to take some more time with him and say our final farewells. The vet then gave us a ceramic paw print and gently laid him in a comfortable stretcher as we said goodbye.

The entire process from initial call to end of visit could not have gone any better, nor could we have asked for anymore than what we got.

If you are considering using a at home service I would highly recommend Lap of love.

This please doesn’t serve my zip code in Los Angeles County. If they have black out zones they should collect the zip code up front rather than wasting the 15 minutes having to go through the pain of explaining my dogs condition and discussing her end of life. What a shame!

Lap of love made one of the saddest days as easy as it could be. We wanted our beloved cat, Logan, to pass at home and lap of love came into our home and so lovingly helped our little boy pass. Dr. Marlene was so nice and patient with us as we said goodbye. It was all about our grieving process and they followed up with us in the following days as well. We were able to do a pawprint and get some fur clippings. They come highly recommended. A wonderful service for all pet parents.

I cannot say enough good things about Lap of Love. A friend recommended them to me and the care they gave was above and beyond. I had called several times with questions and timing. This was the first time having to do this and I was very nervous and upset about having to make this decision. Everyone I spoke to was kind, empathetic and accommodating. It really has been one of the hardest things I've ever done. I had my Lilli for 17 years and our bond was strong. Rina Fernandez is an angel in human form. She was so very kind and compassionate. She sent us a card and emailed to see how we were doing and if she could do anything to help in our grief. Having to go through such a heart wrenching experience is very hard and Lap of Love and Rina at least made it as special and peaceful as possible. I am forever grateful.

Nearly five weeks ago, I had to make the most excruciating decision ever – to let go of my beloved 17-year-old poodle mix, Annie. She has occupied a huge place in my heart since I rescued her a little over three years ago. Annie fought her multiple ailments bravely and had the strongest will to live I have ever seen in an animal or human. When I had taken Annie to the vet a few days before for euthanasia, I couldn’t go through with it and brought her home.

So, when my girl could no longer go on, I knew that I wanted a peaceful ending at home. I called a local service only to find that they were booked and couldn’t get to me for two more days. I then found Lap of Love online. Dr. Tina arrived within three hours. Shortly after scheduling, I received a preparatory e-mail from her colleague with the following quote: “How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard. -A. A. Milne / Winnie the Pooh.” My nickname for Annie was “Pooh Bear,” so I took this as a sign that I was making the right decision.

Dr. Tina arrived, and her presence could not have been more comforting. It felt like she was part of the family rather than someone we had just met. Dr. Tina followed our lead on how we wanted to proceed, was patient, respectful, and so caring. She sat down with Mom and me on the couch, where I was cradling Annie, and took time to learn about my girl’s story. Talking with her helped take some of the sting away from these painful moments. With Annie resting in her bed, Mom and I said the Lord’s Prayer as I held Annie’s paw during the first part of the procedure. As the medication took effect, I then played ‘our song,’ a version of Sea of Love (“Do you remember, when we met. That's the day, I knew you were my pet. I wanna tell you, how much, I love you.”).

I am convinced that God sent Dr. Tina to us that day. I am so grateful that she was the one to release Annie over the Rainbow Bridge. After Annie passed, Dr. Tina made a pawprint impression and cut locks of her fur for me as a keepsake. She then presented us with a helpful and touching booklet to assist with our grief.

Having had to euthanize pets in a veterinary office and now at home for the first time, I can say that the latter option is the only way in which I will proceed when it is time to say goodbye. Annie exhibited no anxiety during this procedure. Also, I now have a peaceful memory of that most difficult day and can take comfort in knowing that I did right by Annie even during her final moments. Thank you, Dr. Tina, for your compassion and support. We will never forget you.
