What an amazing experience with Last Stop Rescue to find our wonderful furbaby!! Paige and Julia are fantastic and care so much for these animals! They are still there for us with advice and tips even after the adoption!! They were easy to work with and worked around our schedules. Our pupper has a medical condition and they are continuing to provide assistance . I look forward to a long term relationship with this rescue as they care how she is doing. They did a fantastic job with training her and we look forward to building on that! I highly recommend Last Stop Rescue!!!!

Last Stop Rescue is AMAZING! I have adopted MANY animals from shelters and this experience was hands-down the BEST! I worked with Lydia and Jeannette and I can say with confidence that they absolutely take such good care with their animals. Our new dog, Rosemary, came trained in all the basic commands - sit, stay, down, get off, leave it, bed, paw AND the guidance provided by them is helping me continue to train her to do many more things. A home visit was even scheduled to ensure Rosemary would jive in our environment, with our cats, and with our kids. I would absolutely adopt another animal from them and I give them my highest recommendation. I’d give 10 stars if I could!!! Thank you Last Stop for all that you do for these dogs.

My partner and I have each adopted many pets throughout our lives and have never had such an experience as we did attempting to adopt from Last Stop Rescue. We feel we were misled regarding their overall process into believing we were the only family being considered for a particular dog and at the time of attempting to schedule a second meet & greet, we were told there was another family who had put in an application and would need to be considered along with us before placement. This would have been fine to know at the outset of the process, but this was not what was shared with us at the first meet & greet. No worries, we still wanted to move forward. We were disappointed, but wanted to still be considered. Then, they told us there was a code in the area where we moved to that only allows for 3 total pets in the home (despite the language of the code saying “person” vs “household”) and told us we could not adopt for that reason. It just didn’t feel like a transparent process and we got our hopes up. I fell in love with the puppy we had planned to adopt and I am really crushed. Their level of professionalism is poor as well as this was all shared with us over text and there was no validation or apology for how this has impacted us. I’m heartbroken and I would highly recommend working with another rescue or really being careful about getting your hopes up when working with this poorly run process for the potential adoptive family. I hope the baby girl we fell in love with ends up in a loving home.

Last Stop Rescue helped me find my forever pup! They were so helpful and stayed in close contact throughout the entire adoption process. They even offer help after you’ve adopted your pup whether it’s training tips or any kind of advice on your newly adopted pup. They’ve gone above and beyond to be so helpful in the transition with my new pup!

“We need to rehome our dog.”
For many of us, those seem like words we'd never say. And yet, here we were saying those words out loud.
A few months after our senior pitty passed from cancer, we saw a post on Facebook that read, “This dog was saved from an abusive situation. If no one wants her, we’re taking her to a shelter.” Knowing that so many dogs are euthanized daily, this pulled at our heartstrings and before we knew it, we woke our kids up and picked up the dog. And we fell in love.
Fast forward a few months… Monster, as our kids kindly named her, matched the energy level of our two toddlers. And with two full time working parents, two kids, and a senior dog, we realized we just could not give Monster the quality of life that she deserved.
After reading positive reviews online, we hesitantly contacted Last Stop Rescue, and we are incredibly grateful we did. This dog rescue is remarkable—overflowing with compassion and committed to helping all dogs in need. We had the privilege of working with Paige and Abby, who dedicated immense time and effort, raising the standard in their support for us. They never made us feel guilty for the tough decision to rehome our dog; instead, they guided and encouraged us every step of the way. We met several families interested in adopting her, but there was no pressure to select someone we felt wasn't the right match. Ultimately, we had the opportunity to choose Monster’s forever family. This, along with the support from Paige and Abby, made a challenging process much more manageable for our family.

If you find yourself needing to rehome your dog, don’t hesitate to contact them—Monster is now thriving in her new home and living her best life.

We just adopted the most precious adorable puppy and Lydia and Ed were just amazing throughout the whole process. They are very organized and they make sure the families are good before the pets are adopted out - Ed is an amazing foster dad that goes above and beyond for the pups- we will most likely adopt another from them soon A++++++++
