Knowledgeable and friendly staff, on time for appointment, and Dr.Latimer took the time to explain, discuss, and give me options for treatment.Having recently moved to New Albany, Latimer Animal Hospital is now my vet for all my pets. I came to this practice in the fall of 2022 because it was a small practice..and what was great vet practice at first slowly devolved into a headache when trying to work with this vet to get my cat started on the road to surgery. I have recommended and brought 3 clients to this practice but no more.

Dr Latimer is simply overbooked and too busy to really take time and consideration into your needs needs past a routine checkup, spay/neutering, a prescription for medicstion or something where he doesn’t have to put much time into the situation.

He will only call you back at Tuesday at 11am and if you miss his one call, good luck you are waiting until next week. And the front desk cannot answer questions and always take a message which is useless because remember he will only call you at 11am on a Tuesday. I can post my call log.

The text messaging system that they have in place is ineffective and lacks the human element of care. It should only be used to confirm appointments and not to answer questions about a pets potential surgery. (which was my case)

Don’t even get me started on booking a last second appointment (like potentially euthanizing your pet)…they will just shoo you onto one of the Louisville hospitals. Strange places are always good for your pet right?! I understand it’s a small practice so again choose care over cranking out money.

The only rewarding thing about going to this practice is the behind the scenes vet assistants, they are all animal lovers and will show respect and care to your pet. I never had one bad interaction with their vet assistant.

Dr Latimer needs manage his client load better by turning new clients away because they are way too booked or hire another doctor because it’s very frustrating. Dr Latimer I know 5 people who have pulled their animals from here in the last year and while they won’t leave a review it’s happening.

Dr. Latimer and the entire staff in my opinion are just wonderful and caring people. I never feel like it is just a look and quick diagnosis and add on's to increase the bill. Since moving over to Latimer's Animal Hospital, I can say my elderly fur babies have been cared for and treated like royalty. Thank you never seems enough for what you all have done for Cody and Camille.

Dr. Larimer and his staff are always helpful and informative. They always make sure that you have everything answered before you leave. You're always greeted with a friendly smile and welcome. Couldn't have chosen a better place for my fur babies.

I am so totally happy with everyone at Latimer's. They are so kind to my dog and cat, and I'm sure to all that go there. You can tell they all love animals! My experiences here have been the best of any vets I have taken my pets to previously. I cannot say enough good things about them!

The staff and Dr. Latimer took great care of my cat during her last month of life. I had previously taken my cat to a special clinic further from our house, but when my cat suddenly wasn't feeling well one day, Latimer Animal Hospital was the only place open and willing to get us in.
They are kind and respectful, and they keep their facility very clean!
I really appreciate their kind words and special gift on my cat's last day on earth...it was heartfelt.❤️
