2024-9 update: still a great vet. Had a different doctor for our cats annual check and was again very impressed. Staff worked efficiently and effectively. Prices seem reasonable. A discount is offered if you pay with a check.
2023-9 review: Great vet. We are recently moved here and looked for a vet close by. Probably the first time we haven’t had to wait to see the vet. Very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. We went there of a yearly physical and discovered some dental issues which they will take care of. Prices seem reasonable.

I adopted a feral cat that was really hurt 10 months ago. He had a 2 inch hole in his neck. Since then, his poor ears have been terrible just open wound. I went to four different vets and all they kept saying is he’s got mites, he’s got allergies. When I bought him to Dr. Walton, he knew immediately, it was fly strike and he gave me the correct medicine to finally heal this poor cat. And they affordable as well. This is definitely my new veterinary clinic.

One of the best vet hospitals I’ve ever been to. I found them through a reddit thread and took my cat in for the first time for a dental cleaning and was thoroughly impressed with the integrity and care provided by this vet clinic. This experience really demonstrated their commitment to honest and transparent service rather than price-gouging, which can sometimes be a concern with veterinary services. It’s a relief to have found a clinic where I know my pet’s health is prioritized. Highly recommend to any pet owners looking for genuine and trustworthy care!

We’ve been going to Dr Walton for about 2 years now. Initially it was just because it was close by but every time we’ve had a last minute issue with our chocolate lab they have been extremely helpful. One time was when we were a week out from going on an international trip and our dog got kennel cough and another recently was when he swallowed a small ball. Both times they were able to get him in right away (which is more than I can say about another vet near by who said I’d have to pay the emergency vet fee if they were to get him in). We are so thankful for this practice as they are very knowledgeable, caring and reasonably priced. Thank you!!

I have never left a review before — I’m new to the area and hoping this can be helpful for another pet owner in a similar position.

1st visit: I brought my dog in for unintentional weight loss and stool concerns. She was taken back for basic labs and a stool sample before I even spoke with the doctor, who ended up only asking me 1 or 2 questions anyways. As soon as the labs ruled out anything acute, he said her weight looked healthy (she lost over 40 lbs) and did not offer any suggestions for why she’s having these symptoms. A few weeks later I brought her to Dr. Dillard at Brookhaven animal hospital (10/10 recommend!) for a second opinion on the same issues. They were immediately concerned and sympathetic, asked me questions, and included me in their plan. She was immediately suspicious for exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, and confirmed that diagnosis with a separate lab order. I am one year away from being a medical provider myself, so it was especially easy for me to recognize the differences in their practice. Here, my experience felt like they ordered the most common lab tests to rule out emergent concerns — while the other clinic used clinical suspicion based off of her symptoms. I’m thankful I went to get a second opinion and am finally able to help my dog!

2nd visit (different dog): only needed a bordetella vaccine — they, again, took her back for blood work and stool sample before we even saw the doctor (I thought she was taken away from me to get weighed). Doctor did a 10 second exam and said 3 sentences the entire visit (no questions about my dog). Felt like he couldn’t have cared less. This visit is what solidified my decision to get a second opinion on my other dog.
