Lavitt animal hospital treated my husband’s family dogs since they were puppies and they always received excellent care. It is a small place, which was perfect for our anxious dog Chip, especially as he got old, blind and hard of hearing. It was nice knowing he’d see the same staff every time. The receptionist Cheryl is delightful, Riley is great and you can tell she loves animals.

When it came time to let our sweet 16 year old Chippy boy down, Dr. Roush provided such a smooth and peaceful euthanasia procedure. My husband and I were obviously dreading it, but we couldn’t believe how comfortable and at peace we were afterwards. It was quick and painless, and Chip was at ease which was an extreme relief. Dr. Roush and Riley treated Chip with great care, and were gentle with us and made sure we knew everything that was going on. It honestly made the entire day so much easier and we are forever grateful for how beautiful our last moments with Chip were.

Thank you Lavitt staff for years of excellent service. I recommend anyone to trust them with your fur babies.

I cannot say enough good things about Lavitt Animal Hospital. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed with the cleanliness and welcoming atmosphere. The staff members are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and they clearly care about the well-being of their animal patients.

I brought my pet in for a routine checkup, and the vet & vet tech were thorough and attentive. They took the time to answer all of my questions and provide me with helpful tips for maintaining my pet's health.

What really stood out to me, however, was the level of care my pet received when being looked at by the staff. The staff kept me updated throughout the entire process, and made sure that my pet was comfortable and well taken care of as if it was their own.

Overall, I highly recommend Lavitt Animal Hospital to anyone in need of veterinary care for their furry family members. They truly go above and beyond to provide exceptional service and care. Big shout out to the Staff members I met Riley the most caring Vet tech I've ever met, Dr. Roush the most knowledgeable Veterinarian I've spoken too, and Cheryl the most welcoming receptionist I've come across at any establishment.

We’ve been taking our two beloved dogs to Lavitt Animal Hospital over the past 16 years and Dr. Roush and his staff have always provided such great care and compassion to our pets. When the time finally came for both of our dogs to be put down, Dr. Roush helped make such a sad event so much easier because we knew our pets were in such great care. Riley was so kind and comforting to our pets in their final moments and helped put them at ease during the most difficult times. Cheryl is always a pleasure to speak with when making appointments and always makes us feel welcomed and cared for when we enter the building. We cannot recommend Lavitt Animal Hospital enough. Thank you Dr. Roush and team! We really appreciate the great care you’ve provided to our pets over the course of their lives.

I am finally ready to write about our terrible experience at this clinic. Our dog was very anxious and Dr. Rousch shamed us for not training her. She has been to training and did well at our previous vet. He didn’t even offer anti-anxiety medication for future visits.

Furthermore, the assistant was visibly nervous and needed consistent guidance from Dr. Rousch. Our dog was in distress, and was feeding off of the fear from the assistant because she clearly did not know what she was doing. Instead of reprimanding his assistant, the vet should have removed the assistant from the room. Dr. Rousch blamed me for being anxious and asked me to leave, since I was so upset about what was happening in front of me.

We have since returned to our previous vet, where our dog is much better taken care of. This was the worst vet experience we’ve ever had and we will never return. If your dog has anxiety and needs compassionate care, do not come here.

This place goes beyond a 5 star rating. They will make sure your pet is as healthy as they can be, and they will make sure to accommodate the pet's needs in every way they can. As I walked in, the reception was very sweet and welcoming. The vet tech and vet were very great and amazing, and they answered all the questions that I had about my new little golden retriever puppy. If you want your pet to be well taken care of, I recommend heading to Lavitt Animal Hospital to have your animal healthy and happy.

Yesterday, after taking my dog for a walk, she started scratching, and I noticed that her eyes and face were swelling. It seemed like she had been bitten by a bug or had an allergic reaction to something she sniffed. Concerned, I immediately brought her to this veterinary clinic, as it's where we usually go for check-ups and vaccines. Luckily, it's only a 3-minute drive from our home.

My husband, who is a nurse, knew that all she needed was an antihistamine. So, we went inside the clinic. However, I was disappointed when the receptionist stood up without recognizing us or my dog, and said, "We don't accept walk-ins." I explained the situation, and only then did she recognize us. Unfortunately, the vet overheard our conversation but didn't bother to look at our faces or show any concern for my dog. They did not even bother to look at Coco nor ask what's wrong with her. Instead, he simply handed a flyer to the receptionist and told us to take Coco to the emergency clinic, which was 10 miles away. It was frustrating because all my dog needed was a shot of antihistamine, something the vet could have easily provided. I am deeply disappointed by the lack of concern this place has for my dog. I called this morning to ask help if they can cancel my monthly autoship of the sympatica trio (that they made me sign up for) and to voice out my concern and disappointment which i did in a very calm manner (its recorded they said so they can play it again.) and instead of apologizing for what i experienced, the lady i talked to just casually said, she will just cancel our account. I have decided not to return to this clinic and will not recommend it to my friends.

Erich Roush took over Alan Lavitt's practice when he retired. The transition has been seamless. Quality of service remains exceptionally competent & thorough. I especially like Dr. Roush's use of technology for quick test results, food & medicine delivered to my home.
