My friend was recently discharged from Layhill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and I can honestly say that the care she received there was top notch. The staff made sure she was comfortable, safe and healthy. The nursing attendants were always stopping by to see if she needed anything and were very friendly. My friend told me that the food was pretty good and the selections were plentiful. I would highly recommend this facility to others who need in-patient rehab?

My wife was transported to Layhill Nursing on 8/8/2024 from Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, MD after two emergency surgeries. This happened while vacationing at Ocean City, MD. She told me she appreciated the specialized care the Layhill staff were giving her. She has a nice view from her room and she likes their staff's specialized care very much so far.

So far, I've found your nursing staff to be kind and responsive. The rooms are a little small but well kept. My sister is at Layhill for rehab and they seem to be patient and encouraging. Please keep up the good work!

As a visitor I have found my sister's surroundings very pleasant. They seem to be very accommodating when there are complaints. I agree that the food is not the best, but most people bring their own anyway. I love the check in/ check out kiosk . Reception is always pleasant . My sister seems happy. Thats Good. Thank you.

My aunt was being seen at this facility, now multiple times. This recent visit was one of the worst. Apparently she had an incident and it was not reported neither medically attended. The nurses are extremely rude, shows no medical education, and abusive behavior towards their patients. Besides this location is very dangerous to any patient under any medical condition. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVES ONCES TO THIS HOUSE OF TERROR! If I could give no stars I would have given them a Zero.

Previous Google reviews were decent. Facility was clean enough from the onset. However, as I made my way to my mother's room, which was deeper in, the strong smell of urine could not be denied. Her room was unremarkable but clean, although the terrace window was very dirty which made it difficult to see the deer eating in the courtyard. My mom loved seeing the deer. The wheelchair in my mom's room was old and rickety, which I was told would be replaced. My mom was admitted after normal dinner hours so I was pleased that she was served meal. She was very happy about that. The activities schedule was posted on her room and there were many things my mom was interested in, such as Bingo, church services and a talent show. Now, for the staff. Overall, the staff I encountered, was pleasant, friendly and professional, however, there were a few questionable incidents. The tech assigned to my mother was friendly enough but when she came in my mom's room to take her to the bathroom, she seemed more interested in doing other things "first ", instead of moving quickly to help get my mom to the toilet and when I said can you do that later because she needs to go "now", the response was, "she has on a diaper anyway ". That was the WRONG thing to say. It was very insensitive, and lacked compassion and empathy, and I definitely didn't like it. Also, when I went to the desk to ask for a cup, there was a man there, who when I looked at him for assistance stated that he didn't work there, but was an xray tech from an outside company. So, why was he sitting back there instead of working? He seemed happy to tell me, "I don't work here". There was another woman who had her radio on blast and didn't seem bothered about the fact that a patient, visitor walked into the room. The time was well after 9pm. With that being said, the other staff I encountered, seemed inviting, encouraging and super friendly. This was my first visit to the center, and I look forward to more positive interactions. I'm getting ready to call my mom now.
