Dr. Young and his staff are the greatest! He has been my dog’s vet for over one year and thoroughly checks him during each visit. He always gets some sort of sickness and the doctor heals him right away! Whether it’s his allergies or a virus, Dr. Young will explain a step by step process of what I need to do! This clinic is the best!! Highly recommend!

Dr. Young is always meticulous in his care and is a compassionate Doctor. My old 16 year old Australian Shepard/Chocolate Labrador mix just had an aggressive 2 pound tumor removed by Dr Young and assistant Surgeon. Within 10 days my dog was ready to walk up stairs and jump again! And he is taking long walks and has more energy than I've seen in years! His quality of life has improved immensely under the care of Dr. Young. I want to thank Dr Young for all he has done for our dog since he was a puppy. My dog always walks into his office a happy dog and leaves even happier!

Dr. Young and his staff are a rare find. I have been taking our pets to him since he was located in Chicago many years ago and I trust his knowledge and expertise above anyone else. When I have taken our pup to him for accidents the outcome has always been excellent. He is proficient, professional and most all caring. Recently he removed six lumps that had the potential to be cancerous. Thankfully there were no cancer cells and her recovery was great; she even got up the next day and tried to be as active as she normally is!
I truly appreciate his skill and all staff, especially Pam who is well spoken, friendly and professional. They also have never “nickel and dimed” me. All of their costs are fair, below other Veterinary practices and can usually do payment plans. I highly advise purchasing pet insurance as that has brought our costs WAY down every year. It is an expense that you HAVE to plan for.

Dr. Young is a total professional. The surgery he did on my dog was so good you can hardly see a scar. Great demeanor and many years of experience. Can't go wrong.

Even though they should've been closed, Mr. Young had stayed open during his lunch in order to help track down the owner of a dog my friend had found running in the street. Luckily the dog had a chip and he patiently went thru the motions until we were able to reunite the dog with her owner. Great job. You know right away he had a good heart and I needed to share. 🙂

My 9 year old cat had fallen violently ill very aggressively, in a matter of days. The assistant was extremely condescending, you could see the look of annoyance all over her place when I asked questions, when I asked to speak to the doctor instead of her, when I told her I wanted to take my cat to Cat Hospital because I felt more comfortable. My cat was severely dehydrated (which I didn't know until I took her to Cat Hospital the next day) and not once did they offer to give my cat (Mona) fluids! They estimated a urine sample, blood test, and fecal exam to $450 and I told them I could not do all of that, could we start with smaller stuff first (cue the rudeness of the assistant). I mentioned Mona had a foul smell down under and had licked very often, THE VET DIDN'T EVEN LOOK DOWN THERE and assumed it was a UTI, still did nothing. When drawing blood, Mona's veins kept collapsing due to her dehydration and you could tell the vet was getting frustrated (it took 20 MINUTES). Minutes before, the vet had checked her ears and found blood and yeast built up in both of her ears. As the vet is drawing blood, the assistant (who can barely hold down my very calm cat) is blowing on her face, speaking in a VERY high pitched voice next to her ears, repeating "Mona, Mona, Mona" and got offended when I tried to comfort my own cat as my cat was visibly disoriented (I would be too if I had a double ear-infection and heard high pitched repetitions from a stranger). Common knowledge is to speak to cats in a lower voice, as they have heightened hearing, but I couldn't tell that to them of course. When the doctor caught wind that I wanted to take my cat to Cat Hospital to get further testing done because I just couldn't afford their prices and that I felt more comfortable with them, he CONTINUOUSLY kept mentioning these tests they could run, but since "You can't afford it" the cat will likely suffer. Literally kept repeating "Because you cannot afford it." He wouldn't answer my questions regarding the initial blood test results suggesting a thyroid issue. I asked, "What does a thyroid issue mean?" His response led to a trail of issues that were already present in my cat, tests he would like to perform, and "You can't afford it." I take Mona to Cat Hospital (the BEST place, I didn't take her there initially because it was an emergency and Lincolnwood was very close). The vet knew my cat from before and IMMEDIATELY saw her "down below issues" were caused by anal glands, just from looking. A urine and fecal sample were also not deemed necessary because just by looking at her, they could tell it was more serious and more blood work was needed (which only took 2 minutes, by the way). They also let me know that Lincolnwood was being difficult regarding sending over Mona's blood work from the day before, in that they had told me the results would be ready by 10 am, and here it was noon and they hadn't returned my vet's FIVE ATTEMPTS to get them. Mona meowed the ENTIRE TIME Dr. Young (at Lincolnwood) and his assistant had their hands on her. We were there for 2.5 hours... Mona meowed ONCE in the four hours we were at Cat Hospital. The total lack of empathy of overall lack of compassion and truly looking at things from all angles is enough for me to spend 20 minutes pouring my heart and soul into this review. Pets are family and should be treated with the care we would treat our family. Maybe for a regular check-up this place would be okay, but for anything out of the ordinary, I would run FAR from this place. I will NEVER come back here again, please, take your cat to Cat Hospital or if you have dogs to Ravenswood Animal Hospital. I spent the same amount of money, had Mona's anal glands cleared (which showed signs of rectal cancer), got her pain medicine before the excretion, an ocular test, fluids to hydrate her, another blood test and FIVE medications. Lincolnwood will nickel and dime you, DO NOT GO HERE.

Make sure you read the receipt closely, was charged $100 for them to call the other vet when I had all the paperwork from them.
