Our dog started vomiting blood: I looked up the nearest animal hospital that was open and found Long Beach Animal Emergency. Everyone was so helpful and professional. The doctor herself was wonderfully kind, informative and thorough. Her professional handling of our situation was most calming.
And fortunately, everything turned out fine. They also followed up in the days after they treated our dog.
Overall, I was greatly impressed with their service.

My wife and I made the very, very difficult decision to put our family member, protector, loyal and companion down. The silence of his bark is "DEAFENING". I can't say enough about the staff. They were compassionate, concern and caring. From the time we arrived and until we left, they were by our side. The doctor that spoke with us was as professional as a professional can be. He was very thorough, caring and compassionate and explained our options. He explained that the final decision was ours. I wanted to spend the last minutes of my pet's life with him but the pain was too great! My wife decided that it would be too great of a pain to watch him through the process. He tried to come back to me when the nurse took him to the back. Thank you is too weak of a word or phrase to say how much the hospital and staff treated us and our beloved pet. Stitch was a great family member and he was 10 ½ years old. If you need a quality, professional pet hospital please take your pet to them. Thank you again!

This place is AWESOME! The vet, nurse and desk staff were so helpful and understanding about Loki’s ear tip bleeding. He chased a critter thru a wired fence and slashed his ear tip which kept bleeding. They really took care of him. Now he is resting. Thank you Long Beach Animal Emergency! 🙏💙🐕

This place helped out my precious baby so much! Was recommended by banfield since she wasn’t doing so well turns out she had pyometra. Dr. Lee was very compassionate and explained to us what was going to happen through her overnight stay at Long Beach. It has been a week and my baby has been back to her normal self and recovering well ❤️🩷❤️🩷

My dog broke her leg around 9:45 pm Saturday night. Went to VCA Lakewood and they would not see her due to an hour wait and only one doctor. Went to Long Beach Animal Emergency. They took her back as soon as we got there. Another critical animal came in right after us that required surgery. We were told it could be up to a 6 hour wait as they too only had one Dr in that night. That we could wait or call around to see if someone else could get her in sooner. We chose to wait and it was about 2 hours before we talked to anyone. Agreed to X-ray and they gave us option to go home and wait for their call as the radiologist report takes about 2 hours. Dr called an hour later and told us what she saw but still waiting on report. That they could put a splint on but we would need to find a specialist on Monday to confirm if surgery is needed or not. Hour later they called back that our dog was ready for pick up.

Point is, they followed through on everything they said they would do and in the timeframe given. The staff was very caring and kind even though I was a little frantic at first. They put me at ease and I’m so glad we waited. She was in good hands. I also received a follow up call Monday morning to see how my dog was. They sent me all my records same night as the visit so I could share with a specialist. Overall I would go back in a heartbeat if we have another emergency.

We had to put our dog down, which was so difficult and all the staff was so nice and compassionate. Made it easier. A week later we took in our elderly dog and they were good to her. What we like the most that both times front desk took care of our dogs right away. I wish all doggie hospital were like this. Good job to all the staff. 👏

They saw my cat quickly and communicated clearly and gave accurate estimates of potential costs. The 2 veterinarians that I spoke with were compassionate, listened, explained things clearly and also answered all my questions. My only complaint would be upon pick up, I waited 1.5 hours to get my cat. However they were quite busy with other pet emergencies and I appreciate they gave new emergencies the priority.

We had a great visit. Everyone was very transparent and honest about what was happening and the costs associated.
My dog was sick for four days and another Animal Hospital had already given us very poor service. But just hours after our visit my dog had already shown great signs of improvement!! And they called to follow up!
