We've been going to Dr. Bender for years, he is the best vet ever! Calm, intelligent, involved and committed to caring for our animals. We left the area, but considered kidnapping Dr. Bender to take with us. (JK, Doc!) If you can get an appointment, your pets will be in the best hands!

Dr. Bender's practice is a rarity in the vet world. Now there are so many clinics with a rotating crew of vets and a focus on profits. But Dr. Bender's practice is an old fashioned single vet practice with the utmost care for animals, coupled with unparalleled experience and focus on the well being of your animal friend. He was the vet that my old pup Gordon had in the last few years of his life, and I'm so thankful he had such a caring vet help make him comfortable through it all. I can't recommend this clinic enough.

Dr Bender took care of my yellow lab, Abby, until she passed at 13 years old. He now is taking care of our dogs Sally and Sage. Dr Bender is an excellent veterinarian and has provided absolutely wonderful care. So thankful to have found him and his private practice over a decade ago. He is so patient, thorough and takes his time, I can always make an appointment when a healthcare situation arises. His staff is also so friendly and helpful when I call with questions. Thank you Louisville Veterinary Clinic for all that you do to help the members of our family :).

Dr. Bender is an amazing resource in our community. He has taken great care of our family pets for the past 18 years! He is always open minded and offers a wealth of expertise in a way that is never pushy but comes from his heart and from many years of experience.
Having moved away from Louisville for a chunk of time and used a variety of vets, I can honestly say I was thrilled when we returned to the area and found that Dr. Bender is still practicing. He guided us compassionately and patiently through critical times - not only with our cats, but also with our dogs.
I will never bring my pets to anyone else as long as Dr Bender’s doors are open for service!

Dr. Bender was recommended to me by a friend. She had been telling me about him for years. We moved further north and needed to find a new vet so we decided on Dr. Bender. What an awesome vet he is!!! My only regret is not seeing him sooner. In all our years of pet ownership, I must say, he is the best vet we have ever been to. Dr. Bender has the kindest soul. His love for animals is evident in his gentle and kind demeanor.

When I moved here 10 years ago, I took my cat to a number of different places, but as soon as I met Dr. Bender, I knew my search was over. He has been a wonderful vet. Always very kind and gentle with the animals, and reassuring to me. He is reasonably priced and can almost always do same day appointments. Take your pet to Dr. Bender, you won't regret it!

Dr. Bender is incredible. I was put at ease immediately -- you can tell Dr. Bender is very experienced, knows what he's doing and what he's talking about. I've never had an issue with the staff and I've been worked into the schedule for last-minute vaccinations a couple times when I was down to the wire. I love this vet clinic. It's so cozy and not like the austere hospitalized setting that you experience with most vet clinics. I've been to several vet clinics for treatment on my dog and two cats. I think Dr. Bender is hands down, the best I've been to.

Just as I take great care in finding the right Naturopath for my son that resonates with both of us, I also took great care in finding the right vet for my puppy when I first got her. I live in Louisville so did a quick google search, read some reviews, and went with my gut. True to my initial feelings, Dr. Bender, upon first meeting him, is exactly the kind of vet I could have hoped for! Kind, gentle demeanor, and very patient with not just animals, but also their human parents and kiddo in tow! I could call him up asking questions, and he would do his best to respond without asking me to come in and charge me a fee, as I'm sure most vets would do. I even brought my pup in one time to have a little cactus needle removed from her paw. He didn't charge me. Also, he aligns with same values on how to raise/train puppy, lawn care (ha! aka pesticides are not necessary! let those dandelions grow!) and overall approach in life it seems. Very happy to have found him and grateful for his care. The front desk / assistants are very kind, especially Kriti. They will always happily ask questions to Dr. Bender on my behalf if he is not avail to take a call, and they always call me back w the answers! Also, no other clients ever seem to be at the same time, so the waiting room is always quiet and empty 🙂 Very calm experience!
