I absolutely love this place they did survey on my 11 year old chihuahua and she is like brand new y’all have changed our lives for the better! They allowed me to make payments on the bill and not one word from them bugging about the bill ! This place is amazing the doctor and staff are wonderful!!?❤️

Two weeks ago I had to make the very difficult choice to put my best buddy King down after 16 wonderful years. His dementia and worsening inability to walk was just too heart-rending to deny that it was time... the staff at Madison were truly awesome from the moment we arrived, carrying in my buddy because I kept breaking down each time I tried to lift him myself. Allowing my family time to say our goodbyes before a very gentle dose of 'rainbow sleep' was administered. Each of the staff that interacted with us were very nice and considerate of our emotions. I highly recommend Madison Animal Hospital.

Such a friendly place, and when you get your babies fixed, it’s not something they usually stay overnight for, at least for my kitten this wasn’t the case. They love animals and it’s quite clear, they are super sweet and take you and your fur babies seriously! Go see them if you need a good, reliable vet!

I mean, they’ve taken such good care of mine!

We brought 2/3 of our dogs here for their first vet checkups. They were very easy to talk with and seemed to care about our concerns. We saw Dr.Fields. She gave me a GoodRX coupon to save on our medication and that is something that most doctors don't think of giving you. This office is only 5 minutes from our home and we were very worried of how it would go. We spent around $300 which was our expected amount for 2 dogs. This included shots, tests, and more. We now have a clear mind that our pups are healthy and she brought up things to keep an eye on as well. We are younger dog owners (20) so money can be tight and I wouldn't think twice of spending mine here for the peace of mind that they are healthy. The boys got tons of compliments and pets, so I don't think our dogs will feel worried about going to the vet because they know they are getting tons of loving and praise.

We love Dr. Phillips, she has truly been there for us through everything with our girl Charlee. Services are prompt and prices are good compared to other vets. Cannot recommend her enough, I wish there were 10 stars to give.

Update: Dr Phillips just threatened me!!! I have a text where she claims to have called the Danielsville and Madison County Sheriff and I quote AFTER I wrote this review. I wish I could post a picture of her text documenting this.

DO NOT USE THIS VET! I have proof for everything I said - she only has lies!

I have been trying to transfer vets and Dr. Phillips and her office are blocking it! She has refused to send all my records.

I am still blown away she is blocking this after threatening me by calling the cops on me. Calling the cops is an act of aggression!!! She is not right - I would say crazy.

To date: I still have never been contacted by her with an overview of the $1,500 and I paid. My new vet and I had to go over both dogs with a fine tooth comb to find all injuries. Pathetic!

Original review: Please read this entire review - never take your pet to this vet!!!!

A week ago my youngest dog got into a fight with my older dog. Two females fighting for alpha!

I took my dogs to Dr. Phillips. When I got to the office, my first comment was ‘yay new office staff’. I was very wrong! My dogs were taken in and treatment started.

I NEVER heard a word. I had to call back that afternoon and find out they needed to stay over the weekend. I do think it was for the best BUT I asked the girl who answered the phone to have Dr. Phillips call me. I even mentioned my challenges with Skinny Blond and Curly Brown hair girls and not wanting them near my dogs!!! I told her that they are unprofessional and I don’t trust them with my dogs over the weekend. I wanted to know what was going on with my dogs - No call at all from Dr. Phillips!

Monday when I went to pick them up, I was asked to pay my bill, given meds and that was all. $1,500.00 and they couldn’t even bother to meet with me.

I was not given any information on my dog’s injuries – NOTHING even today!!!! I got home and found both dogs had stitches and my youngest is still limping!!!

I gave the girl at the Vet 4 questions on Monday for the Dr. When I called Wednesday, she only bothered to ask 2 questions neither of which answered questions about my dog's injuries.

An awful experience that happened recently, I was coming home from the UGA vet. Sigy one of my dogs had kennel cough. I was very upset because I pay for yearly shots. The girl who answered the phone – thinking she knew better than a vet – said oh no it’s not kennel cough. I said my dog just left UGA Emergency Vet – how dare you think you know more than them! Call me bad but I hung up on that vet tech telling her to have the actual vet call me. She should have never made that statement. It was Dr. Phillips and her policies that caused the problem!

Every year I expected they were fully vaccinated. Not at Madison Animal Hospital, not only do they not give a Kennel Cough yearly vaccination – they NEVER even offered it to me.

I told Dr. Phillips’, that her practices put my dogs in jeopardy. Kennel Cough, my dogs use to go to ‘spa day’ at her office, that alone should have made a good vet recommend the vaccine.

While I was talking to Dr. Phillips about this issue, her immature and unprofessional staff struck again. The skinny blond girl came slinking into the room like a cartoon character trying to sneak. She went to the brown curly-headed girl. The brown curly-headed girl, gave the skinny blond girl her mop. Then grabbed a broom and headed to where we were talking. I should have been paying attention to what Dr. Phillips said instead my
eyes kept seeing the actions of her immature unprofessional staff. I saw all as they did it behind Dr. Phillips's back.

Leadership comes from the top down. If Dr. Phillips can’t be professional to call me and give me any details on my dogs & a $1500 bill, then it is no surprise how immature and unprofessional her staff is If Dr. Phillips’ staff acts immaturely behind her back (literally), they could do anything to my dogs and no one would know!

Madison county hospital is an A + in my opinion. My dog, Cooper, that I had for over 8 years, whom was my best friend. Came down with cancer, he had to be put down. One of the worst days in my life. They were say caring and compassionate, you would not believe. Today I got a call to come pick up his remains, they did such a wonderful job! His remains were put in a beautiful wooden box, they even included some of his hair clippings. Was not expecting all of this. If, or when I get another dog, this is where I will be bringing him for all his needs.
