The staff here are just absolutely incredible!! Wendy is a phenomenal trainer, and she really knows her expectations at behavioral training for dogs and it was an honor to talk to her for as long as we did. We came in to see about fostering & ended up meeting sweet loyalty for a long time. What a beautiful dog who just need some love and patience. We will be coming to see loyalty. Max Fund is the only place in Denver. That is a no kill shelter so all the pups end up at Max Fund.. It’s an incredible endeavor that they’re providing such a service to the community, but they also need a lot of support as well and these dogs could really use fosters or good homes with patient and compassionate people who are animal lovers!!

We adopted Sunny from MaxFund. The people that work there are wonderful and we were so excited to bring him home. He’s a great addition to the home and he’s really happy with all the space he has at his new home. Thank you so much for helping us bring home our new family member. He’s going to have a great life with us!

Maxfund experience was amazing ? .. dogs, ? cats ?‍⬛ of all varieties can be found here! They had puppies and kittens ? too! Very easy adoption process, only about 30 minute questionnaire (care instructions + other pets questionnaire) .... reasonable prices.
Shots all up to date, they even sent us home with some food...Absolutely love Maxfund, the vets are extraordinary, without question, they are pet lovers!
Professional, they also check dental ? , they go over it all during the adoption process.
We were particular, came back a few days in a row because there were SO MANY CHOICES.. the staff was more than accommodating, answered all our questions, and gave additional information. After all was said and done, we got an older cat ? and have had her for 6 years now! Brother in law got a dog from here also.
Fantastic place to adopt from, love, love, loved the staff and animals ♡ ? ? ?! ♡

PLEASE update your online donation portal. We tried multiple times to make an end-of-year donation, and the system failed each time. Left messages by phone and email to resolve the issue but didn't hear back UNTIL we went around the Max Fund website and used the Colorado Gives site to make the donation. We are HUGE supporters of Max Fund and just want it to be as easy as possible for people to make donations.

The people who work here are clearly very passionate about the cats and it warms my heart! A lot of the cats have their own separate rooms, while some are kept in really big community cat rooms and they rotate times outside of their cages to meet visitors. Everything was clean, no smells at all. I didn't find a pet here that clicked with me, but I don't doubt that someone else will! I'll definitely come back in the future

We adopted Nova 1 month ago. She is a wonderful dog! We love her so much! The volunteers were very nice and helpful. If we want to adopt another dog we will definitely go there@

My mom and I stopped here looking for a cat. Everyone working at the cat shelter was super nice and helpful and let us visit multiple days to find "the one". One thing I was impressed by is the building across from the main shelter has a bunch of space dedicated to cats with special needs, with nice enclosed outdoor/climbing spaces called 'catios'. All the animals are clearly loved and well-treated. We ended up adopting a 14-year-old senior who's the biggest cuddlebug of a cat that I've ever met. There is a somewhat involved application process involving multiple references, but it's well worth it and we couldn't be happier with our new family member.

Absolutely unbelievable Client Services!!! I called 3 times with ZERO response or call back. Came in and got a paper just to get turned away with ZERO COMMUNICATION!!! I was talking to a worker just for her to turn around and walk away from me and my pet, just to walk out and a worker giving me attitude saying “yes ma’am?!” Just because I glanced at her and then walked away to overhear her say “yeah okay.” Absolutely unbelievably rude and incredibly UNPROFESSIONAL. Waste of time and would not recommend bringing an animal here ever!!!!!
