20250123 Not sure why the bad reviews. I brought my puppy here over 13 years go, and I remember having a great experience. I brought my other pup here today because the lady working the night shift as well as the lady at Internal Medicine recommended using the ER to get my pup the abdominal ultrasound in order to be seen quickly. I thought I would walk in, wait a little, get the ultrasound, and off I go with my pup. To my surprise, it was more involved than that. Dr Geoff Tucker was great. He patiently listened to the history of Lola's issues. He was very throughout... He obtained and reviewed Lola's record from her cardiologist's office and her veterinary office. He made sure that he understood Lola's situation before moving forward with recommended tests. Prior to the tests, they provided an estimates of the cost - low end as well as high end. I was required to pay the low end of the estimates. Because I was using the ER services, I had to wait in line like a human ER. I ended up leaving Lola there and was expecting to pick her up in the evening. I was surprised (again) that she was ready for pick up a couple of hours after I left MedVet! When I returned there, she along with a couple of cats were on the monitor with an update on the ER process for each of the pets. It took awhile for them to talk to me and release Lola. Everyone I encountered there was very friendly and helpful. Clay and Andrea were great, and I didn't get the names of the 2 female receptionists that I spoke to and the lady who brought Lola out. I will definitely use MetVet again, but I hope I hope need it. The facility is also very clean.

I know a practice like an emergency vet has a lot of very hard cases walk through the door. Last night we were one of them. We had not called ahead, just showed up with a clear emergency. The staff were friendly, compassionate and professional. Our pup, a recent rescue, was seen in a timely manner, we were kept updated and once they had a clear idea of what was going on (which wasn't easy to figure out), they went to work saving her with surgery. Less than 24 hours we have brought her home and she is on a clear path to full recovery. From the front desk, to medical professionals that worked on her, we had very skilled care. The doctor that did the surgery was amazing, she understood giant breed dogs and had a passion for solving severe cases. On what is a very hard night for a lot of pet owners, this team at MedVet in Manassas was the best of the best. We owe them a debt of gratitude.

I went here around midnight with my 14 yr old York-chon. He needed to be humanely euthanized. They were super informative and kind to my family and me as we geared up to let my pup go to the rainbow bridge. Allen passed away around 12:30AM .. Thanks MedVet for taking care of us and being respectful of my pup..

Took our 3yr old kitty in knowing something was off, but we weren’t sure. Dr. Deppe kept us informed every step of the way and we were met with compassion and care by every member of the team. While our little Aero didn’t make it, I’m so grateful to everyone in the office for their love and time. Thank you for treating us and my boy with the care and grace he deserved. ❤️

This is the review I never wanted to write, but I feel like it’s important for others who have come to the same hard decision. Our senior dog was declining with various health issues and after hard conversations on a Friday night with our regular vet, we came to the decision that the most compassionate decision was to let her go, and the sooner the better for her sake.
However, our regular vet wasn’t open on the weekend, so we had to find a place to take her to in order to say goodbye. We chose MedVet but I was very nervous as I knew they were a larger facility and the last thing I wanted was to be crying in a lobby waiting for a long time for the hardest decision a pet owner makes. I called ahead of time and they said they would get us in a room right away, however I didn’t fully believe them. When we arrived though, they did exactly that, and took us to a room right away. They showed us gentle compassion from the beginning and explained everything to us. They brought us a blanket to lay on the ground with her and say our last goodbyes. They never rushed us but when we told them it was time, they also didn’t make us wait. It was one of the worst days of my life, but the MedVet team made it a little easier with their kindness, compassion, and ease of process. So if you too are making this hard decision, I recommend MedVet as a safe place to take your beloved for their final moments.

My dog Tootsie became very ill suddenly, with vomiting diarrhea not eating and drinking. She was dehydrated when we brought her in and in pain. It was recommended that we should leave her overnight. We didn’t want to but knew we had no choice. The staff at med vet took such good care of our girl. They answered all of our questions when we called to check on her and always called us with updates. Even after she was discharged anytime we called they answered all of our questions. I do believe tootsie loved everyone there because her tail was always wagging every time someone came into the room. We are so appreciative for all the great care they gave to our pup, the staff are true life savers❤️
