Estuve allí el día de ayer, llegue con un fuerte dolor casi desmayada y me tuvieron esperando para atenderme más d una hora, preguntaba a cada rato cuando me iban atender y sus respuestas era estamos full por supuesto de mala manera, se supone que uno va por una emergencia no para esperar tanto ni mucho menos con un dolor tan horrible, logre entrar luego de casi hora y media de espera y allí también fue larga la espera para todo, ojalá le dieran el mismo trato a todas las personas que allí llegan, lamento que tenga un personal tan poco calificado que no le den el trato decente a las personas

I recently had a hospital visit due to severe dehydration and slight kidney damage, and unfortunately, my experience with the care team was highly disappointing. The main doctor was dry and uncaring, showing little compassion or effort to communicate effectively. The radiology team was rude and unclear with instructions, which led to skewed test results.

The only truly compassionate staff were the side nurses and the hematologist who drew my blood—without them, this experience would have been even worse. It’s frustrating to see how much the quality of care has declined in 2024/2025 compared to 2021-2023. The level of compassion and attentiveness just isn’t there anymore.

Until Deaconess fully integrates and (hopefully) improves its training, I wouldn’t recommend seeking care here unless absolutely necessary.

Feeling so let down after my last ER visit for help. I honestly felt judged, and a sense of discrimination lingered. Ever since the transition to Deaconess, it feels like the compassion I used to rely on just isn’t there.

Now, I’m really torn about voluntarily going back for help. In a future crisis, I may be forced to handle things alone. Hoping things change, but for now, I’ll stay clear and explore other ways to get the support I need. 💔 #MentalHealth #AdvocateForCompassion

Very unreasonable when it comes to working with your hospital bills. Website states they will work with your situation, this is a lie. My granddaughter was less than 2 months old when they sent a final notice for her delivery and at 2 months to the day, refused to work with the family’s situation and payments. They demanded a certain amount (a very unreasonable amount, imo) or collection agency. And don’t get me started on the highly unethical collection agency they work with.
This isn’t my only issue, just the most current pressing issue. My family is a good honest, dependable and responsible family. They expect to pay their bills. They just want to be treated with respect and dignity. Do not affiliate yourself with them if you want the same.

I was in the ER this week and received amazing care! The people checking patients in were nice, the nurse and nurse practitioner were wonderful, and the xray tech was super sweet. I absolutely did not want to be there and they all made it not awful. Kudos to the ER dept!!!

Jasper has always been my preference for great care but this last visit has me reconsidering. First off, the “check in” lady working Christmas Day morning in the ER seemed to be miserable and bothered; especially when my daughter didn’t know her own weight “ If you don’t know it, we will have to use the scale!” with an eye roll… Also, felt it was of concern to her as to why we didn’t go to the hospital in our area- don’t worry lady, we definitely will the next time!
Nurse practitioner was the only one who seemed to be in good spirits.
Fast forward to being dismissed; daughter is sent home with a 48 hour heart monitor and told “ Return the monitor by 2:30pm on Friday so that the staff can do a quick scan to make sure there are no critical issues.”
Returns monitor before 2:30 and was told there wasn’t enough staff to do the quick scan, it would be read over the weekend…. What a mess!

I’ve never been to a hospital where I felt my needs didn’t matter until I walked into Jasper Memorial . I genuinely don’t feel like I’m in good hands at Memorial Hospital whatsoever. The Nurses are so rude & doctors are unprofessional. Not welcoming whatsoever…… I’ve only been a couple times for emergency reasons but every trip has been time wasted . My 7 month old child had an allergic reaction with his entire face swelled up & the nurse laughed when she seen him & we were discharged with no antibiotics or medication. I knew my baby wasn’t okay so I drove to Evansville St Vincent’s Children’s Hospital where they gave him instant treatment & went down within minutes . The doctor in Evansville made a comment “ I just don’t understand why they would let him leave the hospital in this condition without treatment ”. My pregnancy trips to this hospital were even worse . They don’t value your concerns or issues . ITS TERRIBLE HERE. I honestly would rather die at home before I ever come back here . I always tell friends , family , whoever to try to go to Evansville hospitals . I’m treated with such love there & with care . I love it there . I drive hourly for my appointments to the women hospital while being a Dubois County resident . Truly need to do better here at this hospital . I always go home feeling worst than from when I walked in …… If I can give it 0 stars I would ……
