We evacuated to Georgia from Florida for Hurricane Milton and unfortunately my dog became sick while we were here. Having a sick pet is stressful enough, and being away from home with so many uncertainties only added to that. I am extremely grateful to the wonderful people at this location. They were all so kind and helpful, and Dr. Collins was very thorough and patient in answering our questions. Veterinary staff are literal angels who deserve 1000000% more praise, thanks, and recognition than they typically get, and this location is certainly no exception. It was impressive to see them handling pets and their people in such a professional and caring manner.

I will be honest I was a little worried after reading some of the reviews. They are emergency vets and yes it is going to be expensive. I am thankful to the staff for everything they did for Shark Dog and for being open on the 4th of July and having the Parvo antibodies. I was able to get updates, and communication was excellent.I would not hesitate to use them again. I hope we don't since they are emergent but have recommended them. And Shark Dog has since made a full recovery!

Wonderful staff and medical team. I had to take in my cat with a pending impaction, and they did so good with my kitty. Turned out he didn’t have that - thankfully! And they refunded me most of what I owed. They’re truly the best and will definitely figure out what’s wrong with your animal and the safest, quickest solution. It is expensive, cause it’s an emergency vet, however the care is superb.

They also have a therapy kitty in the lobby!! Bonus points!!!

First time using any emergency vet and Middle Georgia Veterinary Emergency Center was the best! I appreciated that they went over the costs before treatment (though, as most puppy parents you will pay whatever). All of the staff members were super sweet. My invoice shows tech Lisa L, Tech Renee D and Exam fee Arhonda Harris, DVM. So thankful for an office open over the weekend!

I run a dog rescue in the local area and am so happy there is finally an afterhours location that cares so much about our dogs and pups. We can always count on getting the best ever care when we have to make the trip with one of them. They ALL go above and beyond!!

This is the nicest, clean vet clinic I've ever been in. The staff was amazing!! Very prompt, caring and understanding. The whole staff that I come in contact with was amazing, but big shout out to Jessi and Lacey for going above and beyond to help the lil nugget I brought in.

Compassionate and friendly staff. First let me say that out of my 8 visits to this clinic since April 27, 2024 to Nov 21, 2024 with two different pets I have received without a doubt great care from all of the staff that I encountered. To name a few, Jessi at the front desk, Lisa the tech that took my very injured Stella back to the ER, Dr Theresa Kendall performing surgery, they were all professional and caring to me and my baby. Dr Hall treated Stella for the last two follow-up visits. Both doctors far exceeded my expectations.
I discovered this ER in April 2024. We live in the area part time as we are having to commute from our North GA home to here in an effort to keep up family property. Our beloved dog of 13 years had been diagnosed with a condition in Oct 2023 that we knew at best he would survive for maybe another year. On the morning of April 27, 2024 we knew it was time to help him. Since we were 3 hours from his regular vet we had to find someone closer. That day was and will forever be one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. The entire staff that day were so understanding and kind. They put us in a room that was as well decorated as being at home as possible. They explained the process and gave us all the time and privacy we needed. Never rushed us at all. We left there obviously heartbroken, but thankful that this traumatic moment was made more peaceful due the how the whole visit was overall.

Fast forward to November, and we had to take Stella our cat for a severe injury to her stomach area. This was a repeat experience with “stellar” service (punt intended?).

While some people will complain about the higher prices I say this, it is an ER it is not a regular vet clinic. If your pet and your situation does not need an ER then call a regular vet clinic. If you need the ER then expect a premium for this service.

For us, we have all good things to say about this ER and their staff. We will return if there is ever a need. I highly recommend that you give them a try if you are in need of an emergency vet care clinic.

Thank you so much for getting my baby straight back when he had a copperhead encounter to check for snakebite marks. I was terrified but your receptionist answered the phone promptly when I called that evening & texted me the check-in info so he could immediately go to the back upon arrival. They had a Vet tech come out immediately and take him back to the doctor to inspect him for bite marks. Our outcome was very favorable. The fee was extremely reasonable and I highly recommend them for any pet emergencies. Their waiting room is also exceptionally clean. Thank you, ladies!!!
