I had been working with Banfield Veterinarian and they were not responding to me my dog was very sick at this point I knew he had cancer but I wasn't getting anywhere so my dog walker recommended Mohnacky so I went. Dr. Bulliard let me know that my dog has cancer (x-rays) throughout and then today we had him euthanized. She is so loving, so gentle, so focused on the animal and on me and I can't ever say enough about that. I am so deeply appreciative. the next animal I get I'm coming to Mohnacky only.

We went to mohnacky Carlsbad today for my pug Chubbs Wallis Shak and it was a great expierence. It was our first time in and the check in process was easy and communication was great. Kylie was our vet tech who did his untrasound and she was just the best. Made us both feel comfortable and let us know what to expect afterwards and even followed up with a call later in the day to make sure we were doing ok. I say “we” because I was more nervous than the dog. We will be back soon!

I recently moved to Mohnacky Carlsbad Animal Hospital after my local vet retired. My experience has been terrific. I was able to see a vet immediately when my dog was experiencing a terrible ear infection. Not waiting for my dogs to be seen when they suddenly experience issues is really important to me. The vets are all very thorough and personable. They will follow up the next day to check on the status of your buddy.

Denise works in the office and I have known her for over 10 years. She is a solid friend to all with pups/ kitties. She is always there for me when I have a question or concern. She moved from the local vet to Mohnacky and I have not regretted my move. I have recommended this hospital several times and will continue to do so.

I took my Cavalier/dog Sassi in for weight loss and excessive bowl movements. My dog was 7 and we didn't change anything before she started loosing weight. She was eating My Perfect Pet Frozen Gently Cooked dog Food Hunter's Turkey & Salmon. She was also eating and playing normally. Samantha told me that I wasn't feeding my 10lb dog enough Calories and said I should be feeding her 500cal a day for a 10lb dog. Samantha told me to start feeding her 700cal until She gets back up to 10lb. Samantha basically blamed me for my dog loosing weight by underfeeding her. I went home and I did what she told me to do but then my poor dog was having 12 bowl movements a day. Come to find out it's really bad to over feed a dog. 350 calories per day Is the recommended calorie intake for a 10 pound dog per day. My dog was doing really well on the recommended 350 a day for 7years. Samantha ran some test and $750 dollars later all she could do was put the blame on me with no diagnosis. So I took my dog to a different vet and they diagnosed my dog with Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI) all Sassi needed was a Pancreatic Enzyme Powder/digestive enzyme and she has been a healthy Cavalier and still eating a healthy calorie diet of 350 Calories a day. Samantha also did a urinalysis by needle extraction and she ruptured my under weight dogs bladder. It took my dog 12 months to recover. My dog also had a 2 inch scratch from the needle near her navel. I was also not explained this procedure before it was performed. Samantha Souther is a ruthless veterinarian who is only out to get your money. She thinks it’s okay to blame a pet parent instead of giving an accurate diagnosis. So disappointed in this veterinary hospital. To add, they always want to separate your pet away from you to perform test and will not allow the parent to be present during a basic procedure. I’m not talking about an operation. I’m talking about blood work, urine tests, ear exams. They also charge a high fee to use the ear camera when other places don’t charge to look into your dogs ears. High prices and plays on your emotions to get everything they can while you’re worrying about your pets health. Run away from this place fast. There are many other vets that actually care about you and your pets.

This is such a fantastic Vet. We drive up all the way from Hillcrest to come here. I love how friendly everyone is and that they offer medicine as well as conventional vet services.

Best experience I’ve ever had at the vet! From the minute, I walked in Until I left the facility, I had nothing but praise for these fine people. Receptionist at the front desk was sweet and kind and knowledgeable. The Doctor in the back was so pleasant and thorough and took the time To explain everything. I cannot recommend this Facility strongly enough. So glad my daughter recommended it to me.

We decided to get a 2nd surgical opinion after our visit from our primary vet. Boy are we glad we did! We were seeking a surgeon with more experience and after meeting with Dr. George, his professionalism and thoroughness during exam, reviewing labs (he took the time to read my dogs medical record and history, explained in detail his plan for surgery and post op care, we knew we found the best surgeon for our sweet, senior fur baby! He kept us updated throughout the day which was reassuring for us as worried pet parents of a senior dog that is high risk for anesthesia. When they were out of surgery we received another follow up call from Dr George which we greatly appreciated. He explained how surgery went and plan for overnight hospitalization. We are absolutely impressed with our experience at Mohnacky Carlsbad! You have gained a loyal client and patient. Thank you Dr George and your amazing team for saving our baby’s life!

Zero stars for Mohnacky's Animal Hospital - I strongly discourage anyone from choosing them. Despite their seemingly affordable prices, my recent experience has been a nightmare. Post-surgery, they showed no concern or follow-up, and when contacting them, their staff seemed indifferent, discussing unrelated patients. Additionally, they incorrectly quoted a procedure for my pet, and there was significant miscommunication throughout their staff, from front to back. The level of service provided was far from professional. My dog suffered an infection due to a non-sterile spay procedure, and Mohnacky's refused assistance with the subsequent emergency procedure costs. A messy experience from start to finish. Regrettably, I wish I had never subjected my dog to the trauma she endured due to unfortunate experience with Mohnacky's Animal Hospital.
