Just wanted to post another review of how much Dr. Hermann, Adrienne and the whole staff mean to us. As mentioned in another review elsewhere Dr. Hermann quickly diagnosed Ema with hemangiosarcoma, did surgery the next day and recommended us to the animal cancer center where we were able to buy her another month of life. In addition to her expert advice and treatment the whole staff and team has been nothing but amazing. We just received this card in the mail and Adrienne drew this sketch of our baby and I’m telling you this is the first time in her life I’ve seen someone capture Ema’s essence in a drawing. She was the best girl and while we mourn her loss immensely, knowing she was cared for so well in her last days means the world to me. I’ll stop blabbering. Just very grateful.

I am very pleased with the treatment Shadow received. Dr Garlinghouse was exceptional and very attentive to Shadow and me. She called me throughout the treatment which lasted from Saturday to Tuesday. I feel she went above and beyond. Also, staff was very attentive to my calls and questions and requests for update. I’d recommend to anyone needing a vet. They also provide non emergency services.

My 14 year old cat was howling and unable to stand early one morning. We scooped her up and went to the emergency vet’s. The staff was very helpful until the vet arrived. The vet did a wonderful job of explaining what was going on and ultimately helped us with the decision to put our beautiful girl to sleep.

I have trusted my beloved pets to Monterey Peninsula Vets for as many years as they have been open. They have consistently made good sound medical evaluations for all of them. My dogs have been treated for emergencies and on going care such as vaccinations and teeth cleaning. The team has also been caring and supportive with end of life decisions. MPV treats both my geriatric dogs including one who has ongoing pancreatic issues. I feel fully informed on the possible treatment options and plans and medications. I trust this office and feel comforted by the best 24 hour care available.

We required emergency care for our dog in the early morning and she was seen right away. As a skittish German Shepherd, she was on the aggressive side. In response, they spent the time to literally train her prior to treatment, so she could tolerate the preparation. They also educated us as pet owners which was much appreciated. Our pet is recovering well. ~Thank you!

It breaks my heart to grant them such a low rating but quite frankly, I do not understand why they even call themselves an emergency pet hospital. Not quite sure what has happened with this establishment over the years.

They rarely have an emergency veterinarian available. I’ve attempted to bring injured stray cats to them since our local shelter Hitchcock has an agreement with them to provide such care to community cats and they have always turned me away. Some of the front desk office staff has even has the audacity to be dismissive, rude, and abrupt. I’ve had to transport to BluePearl Pet Hospital in Del Rey Oaks instead and luckily, they have never turned away an injured animal from me.

This past weekend, though. I was beyond baffled by their lack of professionalism and empathy. My Boxer collapsed at the park and we rushed him here… only to find out they did not even have an emergency veterinarian available once again. Keep in mind this occurred around 5:00pm on a Sunday and they are the nearest pet hospital (coming from Salinas). Their name is absolutely deceiving. I was able to then drive to BluePearl Pet Hospital which is also nearby by a little farther out and they immediately took in my boy. He was deemed critical and was hospitalized for two days. I am grateful to God and the entire staff at BluePearl because he successfully responded to the therapy provided. They saved his life. I could have lost my boy and it is extremely upsetting to arrive at a place that does not offer the services they claim to provide. This place should really change their
name. I really hope this place does something about their lack of proper staffing because we do need more pet hospitals nearby. I do not think we have any in the city of Salinas. Terrible.

I brought my very sick dog in at 6:00 in the morning. The dog got a very thorough exam and treatment. It turned out that the nurse and doctor had just finished a 12-hour shift with emergencies the entire time. Yet, they were not only efficient in treating my dog, they were kind and compassionate. I highly recommend them.

I have previously taken my pets to Blue Pearl Vet for ER situations. However recently I took my cat in to them and they were 1. Quick 2. Very compassionate. 3. Vet is awesome; called us with lab results and concerns. I will start taking my pets here b/c of the customer service and no long wait. I would recommend to anyone who loves their pets.
