Dr. Kara and her tech, Kat, are absolutely awesome. I was an absolute wreck yesterday coming home from an emergency vet at another location for my bunny, Lonnie who was not eating. I was left feeling absolutely defeated and with my questions not answered. However, I was able to get an appointment in at Montville today asap. Dr. Kara answered all of my questions and left me feeling at ease. She was honest and straight forward and did not try to rush me out the door before I felt comfortable. She also referred me to another location so that my bunny can be treated properly. She is absolutely the best and is now our forever vet! If you need a rabbit vet… this is the place to go! They truly care.

I am so relieved I found this place for my guinea pig who was having trouble eating! Dr. Kara is extremely experienced with guinea pigs and after another vet insisted Puff's teeth weren't the issue, Dr. Kara knew right away that indeed, his teeth were the issue. As soon as she filed his incisors down, Puff started eating some solids again! He's going in again to have X-rays and his molars filed, and I feel completely confident in this place. I also chatted with Dr. Paul who was knowledgeable and caring. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the waiting area is gorgeous!

i'm a healthcare student & first-time pet owner of 2 young cats. my 1 y/o cat grayson has been a joy in my life but unexpectedly, he has had medical issues beginning shortly after i adopted him, from atopic dermatitis to parasites, gingival hyperplasia & a likely autoimmune condition. with each challenge that he has presented with, i have been able to work through it & help him thanks to dr. paul & the staff at montville animal hospital.

our most recent challenge was a complete dental extraction due to his gingival hyperplasia -- all of the staff (especially ali & sue who i worked the most with; they are the sweetest & always so helpful) were so kind to my boy during his preop work & operation. dr. paul was very attentive, caring & informative each step of the way. despite me just being a student, he accommodated my circumstances so it could be possible for me to do what was best for my baby, & i will be forever grateful for that kindness. he is one of the few in healthcare who are actually in it for the patients, & not just for the money. if you care about your pets i wholeheartedly recommend this practice -- your babies will have the best care in the area. i know my boys are in good hands with montville animal hospital 🙂

Montville Animal Hospital takes great care of our crazy Golden Retriever, Sonny. From reception to the veterinarians, we could not recommend them enough. As a first time dog owner, they have gone above and beyond to answer all of my questions and concerns. We feel we are in great hands!

They treated my kitten Lily so kindly and with genuine care. Truly made my boyfriend and I comfortable with our first visit and our furbabies! Beautiful waiting area (with an amazing frog enclosure) and kind staff from beginning to end. Highly Recommend!!
