Really awesome vet! I had taken my ball python, Pandora, to 2 different vets prior to Moorpark, and was desperately looking for a vet that could help her. The staff here is incredibly kind and compassionate! Pandora was seen by Dr. Sweitzer, and he immediately put us at ease! He had no problem taking his time and working with her to finally figure out what was causing her pain and discomfort. We’ve definitely found our forever vet for Pandora as well as our other reptiles in the family!

i had my snake aquamated through moorpark vet, and all of the staff were incredibly accomodating and caring throughout the entire process. responses and callbacks were fast, and it took me just over 2 weeks to receive my ashes, which were thoughtfully packed along with a cute wooden plaque with my snake’s imprint on it and a certificate. the process was so smooth which really eased me, and i couldn’t recommend them enough.
the aquamation itself was done through peaceful pets aquamation, which is where moorpark vet does all of their aquamations, so i also absolutely recommend them as well.

We're new to this Vet, and unfortunately, we've already had to visit 3 times in a short amount of time. Fortunately, they have been absolutely phenomenal with addressing my concerns. They are also super patient and kind with my dog, who can be more than a little hesitant around new people. Fingers crossed that we keep are visits down, but I'm happy to have found a vet that I feel confident in.

The entire staff is so wonderful. They are caring, patient and interested in helping. They seem like a group of people who like their jobs, which is hard to find these days. Dr. Sweitzer was so amazingly compassionate when we had to make hard choices with our beloved Waffles. We've never had a vet that was so worried about our pet and us. After calling so many veterinarians around my surrounding area in vta,nobody had an exotic veterinary available to see my chinchilla mama and her triplets!! I called Moorpark veterinary hospital and They made me feel so comfortable and helped me calm down. They were very helpful from the staff to the amazing Doctor. That helped me with my chinchilla's very knowledgeable. Very fast. Also, they have a convenience of texting which is extra extra awesome for people that cannot be on the phone all the time.
I would recommend this veterinary hospital to all my friends and family. I drove from Ventura and again the staff and the dr.smith were absolutely amazing 5 stars love them

My wife and I been to many vets with our 2 Bichons throughout the past 14 years ~ some providing "average" service, and most with less than stellar service, who seem to care far more about charging to unnecessary treatments than actually doing what's really in the best interest of our 2 small family members.

But, I have to say our experience with Dr. Schwartz and his entire staff was OFF THE CHARTS and pleasantly unexpected. The level of service and care we received was surprisingly thorough and OUTSTANDING IN EVERY WAY.

We have never had a Veterinary Doctor take the time to actually explain to us [in simple English] how to best treat the symptoms one of our pets presented, nor has any Veterinary Clinic ever offered to give us a "behind the scenes" tour of our back office.

We think their attention to detail regarding our pet's issue was outstanding, and are very happy to offer them 5 STARS!
