This is the best veterinary office I’ve ever been to. My poor kitty Loki was very ill with FIV. I took him here for a second opinion after having a very unpleasant experience with a previous vet where he received some concerning blood work results. Dr Harris and his staff were very kind and welcoming. They explained everything thoroughly and were very communicative with his medication and treatment. They were available at short notice and always answered phone calls. Unfortunately he was put to sleep yesterday after his condition deteriorated to the point where his quality of life was severely affected. The whole staff was very kind and gave him the most dignified goodbye. I am forever grateful for their kindness and compassion during the one of the saddest days of my life and would recommend them to anyone! Their prices are very reasonable and they truly seem to care about our fur babies. They office is very clean and comfortable. Loki felt safe and didn’t have as much anxiety as he had at other vet’s offices. I will be bringing all of my future fur babies here.

Wonderful experience! Professional doctors and techs. Very very clean exam rooms and office! Welcoming and friendly front desk. Extremely thorough and detailed exam of my 14 year old Yorkie. Prices comparable to other nearby hospital. All this is priority when taking care of our pets.

They were thorough, efficient, and most importantly, loving and sweet with my very nervous cat companion. This is the best vet that we have been to since adopting 7 years ago.

My cat Praline has been going to this vet for a while now. She comes in almost every month to have her nails trimmed and her weight checked as she is on a diet and used to be overweight.
I have always been quite surprised by the fact that the pet owner is not allowed into the room with the vet, although this is common practice in other countries all over the world. The presence of the owner in the room while the pet is being treated and checked could actually ease them and make the whole process less stressful for both the pet and the owner.
This month, I have been charged 40 dollars for the nail trimming, about 17 dollars more than usual. The reason given at the front desk ? "The cat was agressive today so you have to pay more". Despite my surprise and obvious disappointment, I paid for the service and asked to see the vet. I was told that I would be called back by the vet later to obtain more information as to what exactly happened behind those doors.
I find it extremely upsetting to learn that my 10 years old spayed indoor cat was so stressed during the trimming and that I wasn't told anything or asked to come in the back and help calm her down or stop the process altogether even though my husband and I were waiting in front.
I also find it very dishonest of the vet to charge me more for the fact that all of a sudden my cat supposedly became agressive, and without being able to know if this is the truth or if this was just a way to get more money from me.

Either way, I will not be coming back because I lost trust in this vet.
In my opinion, if you can't trim a small cat's nails, then you're not a good vet. May I remind you that this is a cat we are taking about, not a dangerous wild tiger. Furthermore, a cat used to going to the vet, and a living being with emotions you are supposed to understand and deal with, as it is being handled by strangers outside its territory.
Also, as loyal and valuable customers we deserve to be called back when we are told that we are going to be called back for explanations. I really wonder what harm you have done to my cat behind these doors now and am quite worried for her.

PS: I read your answer below and will answer you. It is clear that the animal's well being isn't your priority if you let an animal be scared and stressed to the point of getting aggressive without letting the pet parent in the other room know. It is an area for trimming nails and cleaning animals, not an operating room, so please save the liability and safety crap for someone else or get a new insurance provider and policies. If a vet is not capable of trimming a cat's nails and needs technicians for this, obviously it is not a good vet. Also, 3 technicians for an indoor 10yo 12lbs cat (who you already know is sensitive and prone to defend itself when scared)? What kind of blatant incompetence is this?
Praline has been to tons of vet's visits, with me close by, and only once has she been agressive and the vet had to wear a glove. I wasn't charged more, it's part of the job too. And this happened because she was hurting a lot and sick and didn't want to be touched near the inflamed area of her body. She simply needs reassurance and her pet parent nearby when she's not trusting or knowing who is handling her, just like any normal living being with a brain and emotions.
I highly doubt any pediatrician would dare charge a parent more for the visit because their child threw a tantrum while getting a vaccine shot. Or a hairdresser while the child is getting their hair cut. Unless the business owner is thinking about money before the wellbeing of their patients/clients. The right thing to do was to call me upfront and tell me about Praline being upset and ask me if I were ok with paying more and continue the process knowing she's uncomfortable. Of course I would have said no or I would have asked to be present. Find other solutions with the well being of the animal as THE priority before charging more money, having illogical sanitary rules and employing incompetent people.

After being frustrated at the costs incurred at this place for the 10th+ time I finally had to throw the bad review on here. I came in recently for what was billed as a "comprehensive" physical, and then got charged an additional amount, more than the physical cost itself in total, for the vet to identify an infection via quick glance at a slide sample. The vet looked inside the ear, lighted it up for me to see, then when it came time to provide some service and confirm what's up, that cost extra of course. Again on top of the exam cost and more than the exam rate in total. The vet was away for less than a minute. This was the last straw for me in the nickel and diming happening here constantly. Prior to this had some teeth pulled for my dog that cost more than it would have for a human to get full dental service. I recently even asked for a quote in advance and they charged extra vs. the quote "by mistake", almost double for one line item (the physical funny enough). Except this has happened multiple times in the past. Only Bob ross makes "happy mistakes". I would avoid this place and find a clinic where you don't feel scammed every time you get handed a bill. But they will do it SO NICELY. I guess the bubbliness of the staff costs extra, especially as they get extra EXTRA nice while handing you a massive bill, almost like it's part of the training. Very disappointing after several years of trying to support a local business.
Had to edit to comment on the ear drops I received. $64 vs $28 on Chewy for the same exact SKU just checked. Sounds about right for this place. Good thing I passed on all the "deals" they had on other items.
Edit for owner response: this was not "treatment" or a "recommendation" this was diagnosis as part of a "comprehensive" exam as you put it yourself on the invoice. Again, this was not "treatment" in any way. I actually paid 3x the retail cost for the medication itself so both your diagnosis and "treatment" are both rip offs. Yes you have "transparent invoicing" the issue is the amount on the invoice and yes this charge I am referring to is the EPITOME of "nickel and diming". Could not be a clearer case. You charged extra for something to be expected just because you can and you know that nobody is walking out and refusing needed care at the time to shop around. This extra cost also was not noted to myself at the time. "I'm going to look in the microscope quickly" turned into $50+. This is why I called you greedy, which you are confirming here apparently on multiple fronts. This business could have done something but instead chose to burn a client of several years. If I save one person from falling victim then this was worth writing out (because of course you don't care otherwise this lame generic reply would have been a little different).

The most caring and efficient staff I’ve ever encountered at a veterinarian’s office. We’ve been bringing our pets here for the past 5 years, they are amazing with our fur babies.
