I have been coming to Mulford Animal Hospital for many years. I used to live right around the corner from them so I originally tried them based on convenience but I have continued using MAH even though I now live much further away. I will gladly drive the distance because the care and compassion that my animals and I are shown every time we walk in the door (and we walk in A LOT) is second to none. Dr. Harbach and her staff take the absolute best care of my dogs, rabbits, cats, and even chicken! They cried with me when I had to put my senior dog down due to cancer. They celebrated with me when my other dog tested negative for an aggressive cancer. And then they welcomed our new, young dog who was very nervous but they put her right at ease by being patient and kind. The doctors always take time to explain everything, the staff in knowledgeable and friendly, and their prices are reasonable for the excellent care they provide. I recommend Mulford Animal Hospital to all of my friends and family.

Everyone here, and I honestly mean EVERYONE, is absolutely amazing and so loving with our furkids. They are not just animals to them, they truly are part of their extended family. We don’t trust anyone else other than Dr. Harbach and the team at Mulford Animal Hospital with our pack!

Dr. Harbach always listens to any concerns I have about my boys and always makes each visit something my dogs look forward to. Duncan and Kai love hearing the word "vet"! I know any concerns I have about my pets will be taken care of in her hands. I have never been happier with my pet's care.

It was an emergency to bring my pet here. I had a guinea pig. He was 7 years old and was doing really bad. I had a suspicion and they confirmed it. I could tell right away that the stuff cares. The nice feeling when walking in here. I was happy about that. This was my first time in here. They didn't try to do any extra unnecessary tests. Just told me it's cancer.
The way they were holding my pet, gently and with compassion. You don't see that everywhere. They do treat the animals as their own. My decision of course was to put my pet down, he was in pain and I didn't want that for him anymore. I wanted to hold him after the injection was given so he would die in my arms. This is not offered in all animal hospitals. I was pleasantly surprised and relieved that I get to hold him and knew he would go peacefully.
I was happy to come here and I highly recommend this hospital.
People say that it's extreme with the prices, but I disagree. I moved in this area from Chicago and those hospitals are expensive. This were regular prices.
I will continue to come here with my other pet.
You know that your pet is in great hands here.
Thank you for making my hard decision less painful.

Absolutely great! My German had a emergency and I'm not even a client, but they took over and did everything that was needed to be done! So I love this place and my baby is okay!

I can't decide which place is worse; here or Belvidere Family Pet Hospital. I never would have brought my sweet girl (now deceased) here, if I could redo it all. Dr. Harbach may be a better pick, didn't interact with them very much.
