North Alabama Veterinary Emergency & Specialty

A terrible situation brought us here tonight. This was my first ever experience having to use an emergency vet. We rushed our dog here Friday evening & they took care of her and got her all cleaned up and stitched (a lot of stuff). She is resting safely at home now. Very kind people. Beautiful facility. Very clean. Highly recommend if you find yourself in need of an urgent services.

Unfortunately we had to use North Alabama Veterinary Emergency Services yesterday. Our 10-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier Sage had to come in due to pale gums and not getting comfortable. Something told me something was wrong. When she came in they did an ultrasound and it turns out she had a very large liver mass that had ruptured. No sign of any issue prior until that point. Unfortunately there was nothing anyone could do and we had to let her go. The staff and vet were wonderful. Very understanding and sympathetic.

I highly recommend this Emergency/off hours Vet!!! We had to take our elderly pup, Josh, today because he had 2 seizures this weekend. The staff was very friendly and supportive. The nurse was empathetic and skilled. Dr. Armes was wonderful and spent a lot of time with us and Josh to find out his history and give us her recommendation. He got an IV treatment and we were sent home with meds, clear instructions and a follow up email. Also we had hardly any wait time on a Sunday afternoon. Huntsville ER Vet told us it was a 2 hour wait. The bill for consultation and treatment was VERY reasonable given it was ER treatment. Five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ all the way. We will come back here for any emergencies with any of our 3 pups.

We had to bring one of our dogs in because she had a really scary seizure last night. The staff and doctor were amazing and answered all our questions and took great care of our fur baby! The facility was clean and calm and I highly recommend if you find yourself in need of an er vet!

I’m so happy that North Alabama veterinary emergency and specialty opened up! It’s so close to my home and when one of my pups has an issue, it’s very convenient to take them here! Like when my dachshund had something wrong with his foot… I was worried and did not want to risk waiting for it to get better l…so I called and told them I was coming with my dachshund who may have been bitten on his foot. I did not wait long and they looked at him and found him to be perfectly healthy… I was relieved to know that they did not see a bite, puncture wound, or any other sign of injury. It put my mind at ease and I was so happy to hear their full report. The Veterinarian (Dr CJ) was very comprehensive, and gave me a full review of her examination and findings (or lack there). Nevertheless, she made me feel comfortable, knowing that my pup was OK. I’m so thankful and recommend them with two enthusiastic thumbs up!

We had a emergency situation a few days ago. Our sweet Ella had vomited lots of blood. Of course this was very overwhelming to see. We have never been to this emergency hospital for our precious baby. However, I strongly recommend them and without them I don't know if Ella would have been okay. I pray we don't have to visit again, but they are a wonderful emergency pet hospital.

Highly recommend this business. Dr. CJ and staff were professional and highly comforting during an unexpected and sudden illness of our sweet Ginger. They took care of her immediately with no wait and gave her (and us) their undivided attention until her last breaths. This is not just a job for them. It's their passion.

I had an pet emergency over Memorial Day weekend. Sadly, there seemed to be a lot of pet emergencies this past weekend as I couldn't get into any ER vets on Saturday and finally was able to see a vet Sunday afternoon at North Alabama Vet Emergency & Specialty. After filling out a 1 page information sheet on my pet's condition, we were placed in a room. Within 2 hours, my pet had been treated and we were able to go home with the instructions and medicines. Everyone from the front desk, to the technician and Vet were attentive, helpful and informative. I was especially grateful for their time and assistance over a busy holiday weekend. THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH!
