I chose Dr. Novak Rinker Vet clinic because they had immediate opening & there was no wait list for new patients. Once at the facility everyone was super nice & answered all my questions. We had to have a steroid shot & I bought my gal some revolution because she was having an allergic reaction to fleas. When I got to the counter to pay, the bill was a solid $100! 😱 Wow that's super cheap, plus great customer service.. Definitely going back!

Brought my puppy in due to a rash and stomach issues. Vet gave her a supplement and two medications and my dog only got worse tried to contact them for 3 days straight just to not get an answer then when my wife called she was met with disregard and attitude. Stay away from here!

They're very caring and thorough. Even though my special Kitty isn't out of the woods yet they made me feel a little better knowing they're going to do everything they can. Highly recommend, amazing women!!

Moved here from Minneapolis and so had to find a new vet and ended up using Novak in Streator. It's dirty and unprofessional each time we have gone we have also had to wait 15 min or longer past our scheduled time to see a vet ... just a bad vibe all together everytime. I understand things happen that put a Dr or vet behind but communication is key. Also the staff should speak a little more quietly so the customers don't over hear their negativity about other customers......that's a big no no ALL customers pay their paycheck!
If you must go to Novak go to the clean and friendly one in Ottawa it would be worth your drive if you have to use them for some reason. But for me I'd rather drive an hour away to a clean, happy, knowledgable and communicating veterinarian clinic!

I've been going there since I got my pup, Pearl, last year. I love their welcoming attitude from the moment I called their office to discuss their policies and fee structures. Drs. Novak and Rinker are both caring and take the time to answer any questions I may have. I'm so glad to have decided to make them Pearl's veterinarians.

Really think highly of the Dr. Rinker, she is very professional, caring and informative. I appreciate their clinic having reasonable prices. They've shown deep concern and care when our little shizipoowas attacked by a big dog in the past, and for our cat for routine care.

Probably some of the beat vetinarians in the county if not the state. Dr. Novak is old-school vet. She doesn't waste people's money on bogus treatments. She's honest. Her Daughter, Dr. Rinker is a bright woman and can make a person feel good, even when the news might not be. Dr. Olsen is a family vet with her growing family in town. Thier flagship location in Ottawa is State of the Art and is fantastic. The location in Streator is modern but it is a two room office. It where Dr. Novak got started. These women are fantastic. Be good to them and they will be good to you. Prices are in line for what the market is. In some cases, lower than anything near urban areas.
