We adopted a puppy from GRRACE - golden retriever rescue and Parkside Animal Hospital was one of several veterinary clinics working with GRRACE to provide first year vaccinations and spaying for our new dog. They provided excellent care. Had we not been established with a wonderful vet near our downtown Indianapolis location, we would have not hesitated to continue with Parkside. We’ve been bringing our Aussiedoodle, Lucy, to Parkside since she was a puppy and can’t say enough good things about our experience!! I’ve never felt like they’ve taken advantage of us financially - and that means a lot! Because we stay on top of Lucy’s yearly wellness exams, there have been times I’ve called for small issues and they’re willing to offer help over the phone when appropriate rather than telling you to come in/pay for an appt/get an answer to something simple.

The standard of care you receive is high, their staff has always been really kind and welcoming, the office is clean and has plenty of exam rooms so they get you back to your appointment space ASAP meaning your pet isn’t potentially exposed to other germs (or doesn’t spread anything themselves!) by sniffing around the lobby. As first time pet owners, we’ve definitely had some “dumb” questions along the way and all the vets we’ve seen have been so patient and willing to offer advice as needed. AND they have an app - which is so helpful!

They were also so wonderful with our dogs spay surgery. It’s a nerve-wracking experience to put your dog’s life and health in someone else’s hands, but they went over all the pricing with us, recommended the best age at which to spay, had us bring Lucy’s blanket and a toy for her kennel as she woke up from surgery, kept us updated over the phone - when she was done with surgery they gave us a call to say “she did great!,” and kept an eye on her for a few hours after before allowing her to head home. They did an awesome job with the surgery and were even able to do buried stitches/closure (like closed the incision from the inside and didn’t need to put stitches outside that she would have probably licked like crazy) so her recovery was so smooth and easy. They provided very clear after care instructions and checked in with us the day after via phone to make sure she was feeling well.

I could go on and on, but just know that Parkside is the kind of veterinary office where you feel welcomed, taken care of, respected, and are confident your fur baby is getting the best care possible. I’m sure we will use them for Lucy’s care (and for our future pets) for a long time to come!

My GSD is 8, I have taken him to Parkside for 7 years and have always enjoyed the care that my dog received. Last month, I called the emergency number on a Sunday, because my dog had fallen extremely ill. Immediately, I received a call from Dr Houston. She listened intently, and told me what to do until she could see him the next morning. The care that my dog received, and the support she gave to me was genuine. I cannot thank Parkside enough for their kindness, understanding, compassion and excellent care from not only Dr H, but the staff! I would give 10 stars if I could! BTW- MY dog did make a full recovery because of their care! ❤️

We had such a good experience here. I took my cat here for an issue and they were able to figure it out almost immediately and provide us with the proper help. The entire staff is incredibly nice. I brought my children with me and they took the time to explain everything to them in a way they would understand. My cat, Chaos, also felt comfortable here. Usually he wants to hide in his cage but here he felt safe enough to explore the room. I’m glad we made the switch.
